教材分析 What:This is a survey report including three students- Frank Brown, Gina Smith and Wang Wei. The content of it is mainly the answers of the “Do you have a soccer ball ”. Why:This passage provide a good example of how to writing a survey report about introducing sports. The topic of the passage if about family so it is helpful for cultivating students to love life, actively participate in physical exercise, and develop good habits of physical exercise. How:The sentences in this survey report are not only simple sentences, but compound sentences connected with “but” and “are” , which is conducive to improving students' reading and writing ability.
教学目标 By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: 语言能力:master key vocabulary and sentence patterns: same, love, with, sport, them, only, like,easy, after, class,classmate 1>. I love sports, but I don't play them-I only watch them on TV! 2>. After class, I play ping-pong with my classmates. 2. 学习能力:consciously use knowledge transfer strategies to complete group writing activities and actively demonstrate them; improve your reading ability by reading short sentences or articles to obtain relevant information and answer questions; master the method of writing the survey report to improve their writing ability. 3. 文化意识: love life, actively participate in physical exercise, and develop a good habit of physical exercise to a certain extent. 4. 思维品质:develop the logic of reading comprehension and enhance their reading analysis ability. Under the guidance of the teacher, analyze the article structure of the survey report to develop critical thinking. In the process of writing essays, cultivate divergent thinking, conduct creative writing in the investigation report, and appropriately add details to cultivate innovative thinking.

Lead in (3’)
Step 1 T greets students. Then T shows a video to Ss and asks them to speak out the the name of ball sports. After that, T asks Ss to finish 2a. Ss watch a video and speak out the the name of ball sports. After that, Ss finish 2a. A video can attract Ss and free talk can practice their ability of communication and create a good class atmosphere.

Pre-reading (7’)
Step 2 T asks Ss to watch another video about The world cup and then asks them to think about the following two questions. Do you like soccer Do you have a soccer Ss watch a video about The world cup and answer the question.

While-reading (15’)
Step 3 T asks students read passage for the first time to finish the task in 2b, and 2c Ss read the passage and finish the task. This step can help students to improve the ability of scanning.
Step 4 T asks students read the results of the survey carefully one by one and answer the questions. Frank Brown: Does Frank Brown love soccer Does Frank Brown play soccer Does Frank have a soccer ball Why doesn't he have a soccer ball Gina Smith: 1>. Does Gina Smith love soccer 2>. Does Gina Smith play soccer 3>. Does Gina have a soccer ball 4>. What balls does she have (3) Wang Wei: 1>. Does Wang Wei love soccer If not, what sports dose he love 2>. Does Wang Wei play soccer Why 3>.What does he do after class Ss read the passage carefully and then finish the questions. ( Ss can discuss with classmates) Ss can have deep understanding of the passage and careful reading can help students to find the details of passage.
Step 5 T leads Ss to read four notices to clear out the structure and content of the survey report. Ss clear out the structure and content of the passage under the help of T. It can help Ss further improve their ability of analyzing the structure of passage and then strengthen their ways of thinking.
Step 6 T plays the recording of the passage and asks Ss listen to it carefully to imitate the pronunciation and tone. And then T leads the reading. Ss listen to the recording carefully to imitate the pronunciation and tone. Ss can improve their ability of speaking and listening.

Post-reading (10’)
Step7 T asks T to complete part 3a and asks them to add some other questions by themselves. Ss complete part 3a and add some other questions by themselves. It can help the following group work activities.
