Step 1: Warm up & lead in

G: Yes, they are. They are mine.

Intention: To set the scene and make a connection with what they learned last time. To show out the content in 2d by dialogue.

Grammar Focus 1: possessive pronouns.

Task 2: Grammar Focus 2:
Declarative sentence with the verb be: be

General question with the verb be: yes/no
Wh-question with the verb be: What color is it？ What's this in English
Intention: Help Ss make clear possessive pronouns and sentence structures with the verb be step by step by two tasks above.
Step 3: Practice
Work on 3a: complete the questions and answers about each picture.
Work on 3b: Read the questions and complete the answers.
Intention: That aims to have a consolidation of key sentence structures. In the period, the communicative teaching approach will be used.
Step 4: Production
Group work on 3c: Put some things into the teacher’s box. Then take one thing out of the box and find the owner. You only have two guesses.
Intention: To give Ss an opportunity to have a production of the key sentence structures in Grammar Focus.
