Wang Maowei, a 40-year-old artist is good at making stick puppets (木偶).
When he was a little boy, he watched how his parents performed those beautiful puppets, and how interesting those performances were. Gradually, he fell in love with it as a teenager.
When he was 17 , he went to Xi’an, Shanxi Province, to learn puppet-making from a master. After spending seven years there, he returned to his hometown to work with the same group as his parents did.
It takes 40 to 50 days to make a stick puppet. The average height of a puppet is 75 centimeters to1 meter, and it has different costumes to fit different plays and stories.
To make puppets, you need to have some basic knowledge of fine arts. The most difficult part is to persist (坚持) because it can be robotic and hard work. Wang was strict with himself. After at least five years of learning from his master, he began to think out new forms. "It is important to keep up with the times and be creative", he said to himself.
Wang’s puppets are special. He found a special kind of paper to make his puppets. It lets puppet players put gears (机关) inside the puppet heads to make them work 一 the nose, eyes and mouth of a puppet can all move with the use of one stick.

China’s in-orbit Shenzhou-16 crew (全体人员), including Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu and Gui Haichao, livestreamed (网络直播) the first science class from the Mengtian lab module of the China Space Station for the first time on Thursday.
It is the fourth lecture of the "Tiangong Class" series, China’s space science education program, aiming at encouraging young people to achieve their space dreams.
During the lecture, the crew showed their living and working environment in the Mengtian lab module (舱). Connected with the Tianhe core module and Wentian lab module, Mengtian, formed a basic T-shape structure of the space station.
The crew showed several interesting experiments in the microgravity (微重力) environment. For example, they showed how a candle flame (火焰) looks like and its burning process. They also showed how the water surface becomes when being hit with a table tennis ball. In the third experiment, they explained the law of conservation of momentum (动量守恒) by showing the collision (碰撞) of steel balls with different weights.

When asked whether space rubbish can be seen from the space station and how the space station protects itself, Jing said that they haven’t found any space rubbish so far. He said that space rubbish is harmful to the station, and said that the scientists on the ground will keep an eye on its move.
