Fast reading Get students to scan the whole passage quickly and try to find the type of the passage. Explain the type and help students to circle some numbers. To show four statements for students to read and catch the meanings. Play the tapes for students to read and match the main idea with the paragraphs. Check the answer together and help students to underline central sentence in each paragraph. Detail reading Get students to read the first paragraph carefully and try to fill in the form which on the blackboard. Explain this paragraph clearly and help students to underline the relative sentences and fill in the blanks. Simply introduce Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Base. To give several questions on the blackboard,students read the second paragraph and try to find the answers. Explain this paragraph in detail and check the answers together.
