To show some pictures and get students to read and learn. To show another group pictures of unexpected event and encourage students to describe them in English. Choose several students to share their experience of these events. Read these phrases again. 听力训练(Listening) Get students to look at the pictures on the textbook and try to guess:What happened with the girl. Help students to describe these passage in past tense sentences. To teach some new words and expressions for say a correct sentence. Play the tapes for the first time,students listen and get the main ideas with out doing any exercise. Get students to read the incomplete sentences in 1b to catch the main idea. Play the tapes for the second time and ask students to fill in the black.To give some pauses if necessary. Write down the phrases they have written and show the concept of past prefect tense. Help students to read the whole sentences and point the sequence of events. Help students to understand the structure. Read after tapes sentence by sentences and translate into Chinese.
