Unit 3 Lesson 9 教学设计
教学内容:
Lesson 9 Near My Home是第三单元(Home)中的第3课,前两课介绍了家具和家庭用品以及物品所属的常用表达,涉及的语法和词汇为方位介词和物主代词。本课主要涉及居住环境的信息,涉及的词汇及语法是与居住环境相关的表达地点的名词以及there be句型,为本单元的Communication Workshop中的写作任务“My Room”作了必要的语言铺垫。
学情分析:
学生具备与本课相关文化背景知识,知道农村和城市的居住环境不同,但是相关词汇还不够丰富。因此,在教学过程中的热身环节将进行与居住环境相关的词汇教学。
学生在小学已接触过与本课相关功能句there be的肯定形式、否定形式以及疑问形式。但是未经过系统学习,因此本节课主要是引导学生在语境当中关注there be句型的表意功能,在第二课时将进一步地归纳、总结和练习。通过本节课各环节的任务和活动,学生将一步步地熟悉课文内容,并使用there be句型对课文进行转述。
教学目标:
在本课学习结束时,学生能够:
1. 通过阅读,获取有关Liu Yin和Chen Siqin居住环境的信息;
2. 通过阅读,体会there be的肯定句、否定句的表意功能;
3. 根据获取的信息,用there be句型介绍Liu Yin和Chen Siqin的居住环境;
4. 体会到城市居住环境和乡村居住环境的不同特点。
教学重点:
通过阅读,获取有关Liu Yin和Chen Siqin居住环境信息。
教学难点:
引导学生如何运用本节课所获取的信息和there be句型转述课文内容。

Elicit vocabulary on “city” and ”countryside” from Ss, and teach Ss new words on the topic. Show some photos of T's living environment to introduce the topic “places in the city”. Show a photo of a village to introduce the topic “places in the countryside”. Encourage students to brainstorm words on the topic. Help Ss to be familiar with the blogs and follow tones and intonations of the speakers'. Ask Ss to listen to the recording carefully and pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation. Task:
Help Ss to retell the blogs to Drew, the foreign teacher in No. 166 Middle School. Ask Ss to help Drew know more about the city life and the country life in China by talking about Liu's and Chen's living surroundings. Ss had better finish the task with the help of the key words on the Bb. Help Ss get to know about the feelings of the writers on their homes. And encourage Ss to express their opinions on the life in the city and the life in the countryside. Ask Ss to think about the writers' feelings on their homes and express their choices of the life in the city or that in the countryside. Work in pairs to retell the blogs. Homework:
1. 听录音,大声朗读54页Ex.2的两个文段,注意模仿native speaker的发音。 2. 在笔记本上写出两个word groups:places in the city 和places in the country。 3. 给Drew写一个e-mail,介绍Liu Yin或者Chen Siqin的居住环境。
