Thinking ability(思维品质): ①Being able to accurately express the time of possessing something. ②Learn some fixed combinations.
Cultural awareness(文化意识): In this lesson, we will recall some old items and learn to express their age and reasons for being idle. And learn about some Western culture. Provide a reasonable disposal method for old items that still have useful value. The significance of recycling and reusing educational resources for students and ways to dispose of old items. Enable students to cultivate good consumption habits and avoid extravagance and waste.

导入新课 Leading in Greeting each other. Get students to talk about some old things they still keep but not use. Encourage to say how to deal with these things in their family. Greeting Free talk. Warming up and introduce the topic.
讲授新课 Teaching the new lesson 新课呈现(Presentation) To show some pictures on the blackboard, students look and try to say their name. Teach some new words and expressions. Read them in several times for remember. Teach students to talk about how long they have them in function structures. Ask them to make short conversations with their partners. Lead students to think about how can we deal with these old things.List some ways on the blackboard. To show a short video for students to learn. Simply introduce the yard sale in foreign countries. 听力训练(Listening) Get students to look at the picture and help students to understand the environment. Read the statements in 1b and try to get the meanings. Help students to predict the topic of listening. Play the tapes for the first time,students listen and get the main idea. Play again,students listen and try to check the facts they hear. Check the answers together. To show some questions on the blackboard, encourage students to answers them according to the listening. Play the tapes for students to read after and check the answers together.Explain some difficult words and phrases. Answer the question by using their own words. Read after the tapes again for practice oral English. 对话及句式练习(Presentation & Pair work) To show a short video about yard sale and help students to list some function structures on the blackboard. Ask students to make conversations with their partners by using the information in 1b or the sentences on the blackboard.
