【知识精讲】
What be...like 询问人物性格或事物的状况。
What do/does...look like 询问热的相貌。
help sb. with sth.“帮助某人做某事”= help sb. (to) do sth.
help sb. out“帮助某人解决问题”。
help oneself to...“随便吃……”。
can’t/couldn’t help doing sth.“禁不住做某事”。
ask sb. for help.“向某人求助”。
with the help of sb. = with sb’s help“在某人的帮助下”。
be helpful to...“对……有用/帮助”。
all kinds of“各种各样的”。
→ kind：adj.“亲切的，仁慈的”。 n.“种类”。
There’s something wrong with sth.“某物坏了/有毛病了”= Something is wrong with...
→ There’s nothing wrong with...“……没有毛病/问题”= Nothing is wrong with...
修饰不定代词的形容词要位于不定代词的后面。
ask sb. to do sth.“要求某人做某事”。
→ 否定：ask sb. not to do sth.“要求某人不要做某事”。
check in“报到；签到”。
check on“检查，核对”。
check out“调查，结账”。
check over“核对，仔细检查”。
be ready to do sth.“准备做某事；乐意做某事”。
be/get ready for...“为……做好准备”。
do some/the + v.-ing“做点……”。
→ do some shopping“买东西”。
注意：do some shopping中的some肯定句变否定句不用改成any。
be lucky to do sth.“很幸运做某事”。
You’re a lucky dog.“你真是个幸运儿。”
【词义辨析】
problem/question
problem：客观上存在的需要解决的问题，尤其比较困难的或者有关运算的问题。
question：指人提出的问题或者在较短时间内能解决的问题。
anyone/any one
anyone：仅仅指人。后面不能接表示范围的of短语。
any one：既可以指人，也可以指物。后面可以接表示范围的of短语。
【词形转换】
helpful：adj.“愿意帮忙的；有用的”。 → helpful：adj.“无用的；没有帮助的”。
lucky：adj.“幸运的”。 → luck：n.“运气”。 → luckily：adv.“幸运地”。
