tired 形容词, 意为“疲倦的; 疲劳的”, 用来修饰或描述人, 常用短语: be tired of 意为“对……厌烦”
tiring 意为“令人劳累的; 令人疲劳的”, 指事物的特征, 用来修饰或形容物
【一言辨异】
*Climbing was tiring, and we were kind of tired on the top of the mountain.

(1)stay, 动词, 意为“停留; 待”, 经常与介词at/in一起使用, 后面接地点; 和介词with 连用, 后面接人作宾语。
(2)动词短语stay up 意为“熬夜”, stay up 后跟late, long 或all night 之类的词与之搭配。
*I stayed up late to watch the soccer game.
我熬夜看足球比赛了。
*He stayed at home last weekend.
上周末他一直待在家里。
*The boy stayed in the countryside with his grandparents on vacation.

(1)as作连词的常见用法
意为“当……时候; 随着”, 引导时间状语从句 As she grew older, she gained confidence. 随着年龄增长, 她的信心增强了。
意为“照……方式”, 引导方式状语从句 They did as I had asked. 他们是按照我的要求做的。
意为“因为; 由于”, 引导原因状语从句 As you were out, I left a message. 由于你不在, 我留了一张字条。
(2)as作副词的常见用法
as还可用作副词, 常用于比较结构as. . . as . . . “和……一样……; 如同……”。
He is as tall as his father.
他和他的父亲一样高。
She doesn’t play as well as her sister.
她演奏得不如她的姐姐好。
Run as fast as you can. 你尽量快跑。
