16 ’ 听力理解 （1）学生首先熟悉活动 2 中表示语言的单词并预测两个问题，然 后教师播放录音，让学生听并完成活动。 （2）学生阅读问题： What is the main topic of this speech What is the attitude of the speaker towards foreign language learning 猜测
attitude 的意思。然后听第二遍录音，总结大意。 （3） 学生阅读问题： How many languages are there in the world How many billion people speak the UN oficial languages as their native or second language 猜测 billion、native 、attitude 的意思。学 生根据前两边遍录音中听到的信息回答细节问题。教师播放第三遍 录音，让学生边听边核对答案。之后师生核对答案。 （4）教师说明代词的指代用法，让学生熟悉活动 4 中的两个句子， 尤其是句中的代词。之后教师播放第四遍录音，让学生听并提醒学 生关注这些代词前面出现的名词，最后要求他们说出这些代词在听 力文本中分别指代什么。 （5）学生根据听到的信息，完成表格，必要时听第五遍录音，并 思考自己会选择学习何种外语及选择的理由。
10 ’ 口语表达 学生朗读活动 5 中的对话范例，之后自编对话，谈谈学外语的理由 和动机。教师提醒学生不要受限于教科书中所提供的理由，应尽可 能多地设想一些其他的理由。
10 ’ 语音训练 （1）要求学生尝试读出八个单词，并通过听验证发音。 （2）要求学生听两种不同口音的同一个录音文段，辨识出英式发 音和美式发音。除了让学生感受其中部分单词的不同发音之外，还 要求他们重点关注英式和美式英语在语调和节奏上的差异。
