It is eight o'clock.
现在是8 点钟。
The children go to school by car every day, but today, they are going to school on foot.
孩子们每天都乘小汽车去上学，而今天，他们正步行去上学。

(表示乘坐交通工具的方式)

[语法]
1、一般现在时与现在进行时
（1）一般现在时表示经常性的动作，而现在进行时表示暂时的动作
eg. She walks to work. 她步行上班。（习惯、经常性的动作）
She’s walking to work because her bike is being repaired.
她现在走着上班，因为她的自行车正在修理。（只是暂时的情况）
Where does she live 她家住在哪儿 （询问一般的情况）
Where is she living(staying)？
她这几天住在哪儿？（询问暂时一段时间的情况）
（2）但是现在进行时有时用来代替一般现在时，表示一个经常性的动作或状态，或是为了表示一种感情（如赞叹、厌烦等）,或是为了强调情况的暂时性。
eg. He is always thinking of the others.
他总是想着别人（表赞许）。
She is always boasting. 她老爱说大话（表厌烦）
在there和here引导的句子里，常可用一般现在时替代现在进
行时。
eg. There goes the bell. = The bell is ringing. 铃响了。
Here comes the bus. = The bus is coming. 车来了。
一般现在时常与always, often, usually, sometimes等频率副词连用，而现在进行时常与at the moment, now连用。
2、时间
（1）如何询问时间？
eg. What time is it
What’s the time
Could you tell me the time
Excuse me, have you got the time
What time is it by your watch/clock
（2）时间的表达方式
在英语中，常用的时间表达方法有两种。
一种是顺读法，先说时针所指的数字，后说分针所指的数字。如 9：20的英语表达为：nine twenty; 9:50的英语表达为：nine fifty.
另一种是倒读法，就是先说分针所指的数字，再说时针所指的数字，比如9:20的英语表达为：twenty past nine; 9:50的英语表达为：ten to ten.
