the sawyers (姓氏前面加定冠词the,后面加s)
the sawyer family (姓氏前面加定冠词the，后面加family)
In the morning, Mr. Sawyer goes to work and the children go to school.
早上，索耶先生去上班，孩子们去上学。
● in the morning 在上午，是习惯用法
● go to work 上班
go off work 下班
Their father takes them to school every day.
父亲每天送孩子们去上学。
● take sb. to some place 带某人去某地
● school 前面没有冠词泛指“上学”，如在school前加the，则特指去某一学校做其他事。
● every day每天，在句中作状语
Mrs. Sawyer stays at home every day.
索耶夫人每天呆在家里。
● stay at home 待在家里，是固定搭配，与stay home 的意思一样，只不过在stay at home中，home是名词，作介词at的宾语，而在stay home中，home是副词，作状语。
She does the housework.
她料理家务。
She always eats her lunch at noon.
她总是在正午吃午饭。
● at noon下午，也叫midday
● at noon/ night
● 如果说某日夜里，则用介词on
eg. on the night of June 2
● in the morning/ afternoon/ evening
In the afternoon, she usually sees her friends.
下午，她总是会见她的朋友。
● see sb. 看望某人，拜访某人
● see sb. off 给某人送行
They often drink tea together.
她们经常在一起喝茶。
● drink tea = have tea 喝茶
In the evening, the children come home from school.
傍晚，孩子们放学回家。
They arrive home early.
他们到家很早。
● arrive home = come home 到家
Mr. Sawyer comes home from work.
索耶先生下班回家。
He arrives home late.
他到家很晚。
● 在本句中home和early都是副词，下文中的home和late也是副词。
At night, the children always do their homework.
晚上，孩子们总是做作业。
Then they go to bed.
然后去睡觉。
Mr. Sawyer usually reads his newspaper, but sometimes he and his wife watch television.
索耶先生总是读报纸，但有时和他的妻子一起看电视。
语 法：
● 频率副词always，often，sometimes，usually，never，seldom，once，hardly在句中位于be动词、助动词和情态动词之后，行为动词之前。
● 在否定句中，频率副词放在not的前或后要依意思来决定。
eg. The weather is not always pleasant. 天气并不总是很宜人。
The weather always isn’t pleasant. 天气总是不好。
