4.Distant与far的区别
(1). 两者都可表示“远”，但 far 属常用词，而distant则通常用于表示相当远的距离。
How ____ did you drive today 今天你开车开了多远 She lives in a _____ town.她住在一个遥远的城镇里。表示一般的远距离，通常不用 distant。一般不说：My house is distant from the school.最好说成：My house is a _____ way from the school.
(2). 与数字连用时，distant可表示时间、空间的远距离,,但当指极大的距离(如太阳与地球的距离)时,则用distant,不用far;而far则根本不与数字连用。

(3).distant还可指疏远的血统关系 He is a_____ cousin of mine.他是我的远房堂兄.
