1. too much和much too的区别:
在too much中too修饰much, 表示程度, 它们修饰不可数名词;而在much too中, 是much修饰too, 在句中修饰形容词或副词, 意为“太,非常”。如:It’s much too cold today.今天天气太冷了。
2. enough的相关用法:
enough 作形容词时, 意思是“足够的, 充分的”,在句中可作定语或表语。作定语时,它的位置较灵活,既可放在所修饰词前,也可放在所修饰词后。
enough 用作副词时, 意思是“足够, 充分”, 一般应放在所修饰的形容词、副词或动词的后面。
John’s old enough to take care of himself.约翰长大了, 能照顾自己了。
There isn’t enough water in our city. 我们城市没有足够
的水。
He is old enough to go to school.他足够大了可以去上学。
3. Why don’t you go to sleep earlier this evening
Why don’t we / you … 何不…?后面接动词原形。
Why don‘t we stay here another day 我们为什么不在这儿再待一天呢?
Why don’t you … 表示提建议 ,相当于why not + 动词原形 如:
1) 你何不在错误的旁边写下正确的拼写呢?
Why don’t you _____ ______the correct spelling next to the mistake
2) 这个周末为什么不和你的朋友们去野餐呢? _______________ go to have a picnic with your friends this weekend
4. … call him up.
call up 打电话;召唤
I will call you up when I need your help.如果需要你的帮助,我会打电话给你。
This photo called up his memories of the last trip.
这张照片勾起了他对上次旅行的回忆。
该短语通常构成call up sb. / sth.,当sb. / sth.是代词时,该代词通常放在call与up之间。
5. I guess you could tell her to say sorry.
say sorry (to sb.) (向某人)道歉
You should say sorry to your friend.
你应该向你的朋友道歉。
He came here specially to say sorry to her.
他特意来这里向她道歉。
6. … it’s not a big deal.
big deal 重要的事情或状况
It’s not (a) big deal. 表示说话人并不认为某事有什么了不起。
There’s a soccer game on TV this evening but I don’t have to watch it. It’s no big deal.
今天晚上电视上有一场足球赛,但我不一定要看。没什么大不了的。
It’s a big deal. 这事挺重要的。
