教材分析 本课时展示不同人或事物之间的差异，引导学生进行比较，词汇教学采用归纳分类的方法，将本课出现的形容词进行分类，加深学生的记忆。
学情分析 本课的教学操练点--谈论的话题是talent show等学生平时接触的少、了解的少的场所，再加上现在的中学生思维能力较强，但注意力容易分散，对英语普遍感兴趣，但又很大的不稳定性。初二同学具有一定的形象思维和抽象思维，特别是发散思维，要及时引导学生对于学习主题的讨论。本课采取独立呈现，综合操练的方式，让学生逐渐理解消化。在本课教学过程中，在注重应发引导的同时，更要注重教学方法的灵活性，激发学生学习的兴趣，让学生乐于接受，易于接受。根据初二学生争强好胜的性格特征，分成小组进行对比，结合同学的评价，同时培养学生集体荣誉感。
学习目标 1.能掌握本单元的四会单词和词组，了解最高级的变形规则； 2.能够听懂目标语言，完成相应的听力练习。
评估任务 评估任务一：通过听说读写训练熟练掌握和应用四会单词和词组，通过观察规律和做练习题等方式掌握最高级的变化规则。 评估任务二：通过听力训练活动，学会从听中找到关键信息。

一、导入新课 向学生们介绍一座大家都很熟悉的中兴电影院，谈论自己对这个影院的感受。 二、探究新知 学习活动一 Presentation 1a----1c 【问题导学】 主问题：How do you choose which movie theater to go to Write the things in the box under “Important” or “Unimportant” in 1a. 【学生自学】 Ss discuss with their partners and write the words in the box in the chart. 【组内互学】 1.Check the answers and check the pronunciations of the phrases in 1a. The group leader teach them to pronounce the new words. 2. The teacher play the tape ,the students do 1b and check the answers. 3. Make conversations. 【班内展学】 One group come to the stage .
