It’s my great honor to be here to present my teaching design.The content of my lesson is Senior English required elective course Book 3 Unit 2 Reading and Thinking Habits for a healthy lifestyle.To begin with, I will introduce my basic teaching elements from the following perspectives.Analysis of the basic teaching elementsTeaching material analysisThis paper is an illustrative text of problem solving. This type of text often focuses on the solution to the problem, which has a strong practical value. The author introduces the principles and methods of changing bad living habits and forming good living habits in accordance with the context of "raising problems -- analyzing problems -- solving problems -- summarizing". The title of the article points out the meaning of the topic, namely, developing good Habits for a Healthy Lifestyle. At the beginning, the author puts forward the question of why teenagers should change their bad living habits, then analyzes how to form habits and the principle of habit circulation, and then puts forward the method to solve the problem. Finally, the whole article is summarized. Therefore, the text is divided into four parts: the first part is to raise the problem (paragraph 1), People tend to form bad habits when they are teenagers. the second part is to analyze the problem (paragraphs 2 and 3), The second and third paragraphs analyze the formation and operation principle of habits to provide theoretical basis and basis for solving problems. the third part is to solve the problem (paragraphs 4 and 5), The fourth and fifth paragraphs provide solutions to the problem. and the fourth part is to conclude (paragraph 6). The sixth paragraph summarizes the full text, encouraging teenagers not to be impatient, to make unremitting efforts, in order to form good habits, and personally build their own healthy and happy future.In writing, the author uses the first person, which can bring him closer to the reader. The present simple tense is adopted in tense, which is more objective and universal. The application and illustration of the habit cycle diagram and the example of how to change bad habits and create good habits in this paper more clearly and accurately demonstrate and express the specific meaning that this paper wants to express. Quoting quotations from Chinese and foreign celebrities twice is also a major feature of this article, which makes the content of the expository more detailed, more convincing, and more fully expressed.②Students analysisThe students of senior two have mastered basic reading skills. They have some life experience and basic knowledge of English; They can understand the basic English sentences; However, in face of complex vocabulary, they may find it difficult to have a good command of the passage, which means teacher’s guidance is extremely important. Most of my students can not express themselves appropriately because their vocabulary is quite limited.
