教材分析 What:These are conversations about describing the favorite animals by using description words. Why:Let students know how to describe their favorite animals in English. And how to use the description words correctly. How:The conversations provide a real life situation and sentences structures about introducing animals.
教学目标 By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: 1. 语言能力: learn to describe the personality and characteristics of animals through listening and speaking activities. Learn to express your liking for a certain type of animal and explain why you like it. 2. 学习能力:promote the skills of listening and speaking ability through pre-listening prediction, listening recording, and post-listening retelling. Talk about your favorite animals and stay interested in learning English. 3. 文化意识: be guided to care for and protect animals by understanding the living habits and background information of some wild animals. 4. 思维品质:Accurately obtain key information through listening and speaking activities and learn to express a liking for a certain type of animal and explain the reasons for liking. Improve the logic and criticality of thinking, and realize the transfer of thinking ability.

Lead in (3’)
Step 1 T greets students. Then T invites Ss to watch a video about Bing Dwen Dwen.. T asks two questions, “What animal does the video talk about & Bing Dwen Dwen is the cartoon image(卡通形象) of ” Ss watch a video and then think about question and then actively answer T. Video can arise students’ scheme and create an active classroom atmosphere.

Pre-listening (7’)
Step 2 T presents the pictures of zoo and animals and teaches the new words one by one. Then leads Ss to finish 1a. Match the words with the animals in the picture. Ss learn the expressions of animals Learning the expressions of animals can lay a good foundation for following learning.
Step 2 T leads Ss to finish 1a. Match the words with the animals in the picture. Ss finish 1a Practice can enhance the expressions of animals.

While-listening (15’)
Step 4 T plays the recording for the first time to ask Ss to finish 1b. Listen and check (√) the animals you hear in 1a. Ss listen to the record and finish 1b. It can help Ss improve their ability of listening.
Step 5 T plays the recording for the second time to ask Ss to fill in the blanks. Ss listen to the record and finish it. It can help Ss improve their ability of listening and writing.
Step 6 T invites Ss to watch a video about pandas. Presents sentence structure pandas are from China. T plays the recording in 2a for the first time to ask Ss to finish 2a. T plays the recording for the second time to ask Ss to complete 2b. After that. T invites some Ss to show their answers. Ss practice sentence structure, then listen to the conversation , and finish 2a and 2b. It can help Ss further improve their ability of speaking. Discussing and sharing answers can improve Ss’ ability of criticizing.

Post-listening (10’)
Step 7 T asks Ss to introduce their favorite animals. Ss practice conversations in 2c. with their partner. It can help Ss improve their ability of listening and speaking.
Step 8 T asks Ss to make a report by using the table . Ss make a survey report. Ss can practice their spoken English.

Exercise (5’)
Step9 T asks Ss to finish the exercises on ppt. Ss finish the exercises on ppt. Practice in time can help test students' knowledge of this class.

Conclusion (3’)
Step10 T gives a mind map about what are learned today. Ss recall the learned knowledge of today. Mind map and summary of new knowledge can help students further understand and remember them.
