写作练习八 道歉信
概述：道歉信是指因过失或疏忽等做错了事，给别人带来了麻烦或损失，发觉后给对方赔礼道歉并请求对方原谅的信件。
注意事项：语言要诚挚，解释的理由要真实。
谋篇布局：
首段：开门见山，交代写信目的，表达歉意。
中间段:说明出现差错的原因，提出弥补措施。
尾段：再次致歉，请求原谅，希望得到理解 。
写作练习：
假定你是李华，与留学生朋友Bob约好一起去书店，因故不能赴约。请给他写封邮件，内容包括：
1．表示歉意； 2．说明原因； 3．另约时间。
注意:（1）100词左右;
可适当增加细节，以使行文连贯。
首段：
I’m writing to make an apology to you because I can’t go to the bookstore with you this Sunday as planned/scheduled.
I am writing to apologize to you for my failing to go to the bookstore with you this Sunday as planned.
I’m truly/terribly sorry to say that I cannot go to the bookstore with you on Friday afternoon.

中间段：
说明原因：
The reason why I break the appointment （失约）is that I have to attend an important class meeting that afternoon.
break the appointment （失约） break my promise食言
It is mainly because I will attend an important class at the appointed time, which is quite out of my expectation.（出乎我的意料）
过渡：
I hope that my absence（缺席） didn’t cause you too much inconvenience/trouble.
我希望我的缺席没有给您带来太多的不便/麻烦。
弥补措施：（另约时间）
Would you mind if I change the appointment time
你会介意我改变约会的时间吗
If it’s convenient for you, let’s meet at 8:30 on Monday morning outside the school gate.
To make up for（弥补） my fault,shall we meet at 8:30 on Monday morning outside the school gate
If it is not convenient for you, let me know what time suits you best.
And if there are any other solutions you like, please let me know.
尾段：
再次道歉：
I am awfully sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Please allow me to say sorry to you again.
希望别人接受道歉：
I sincerely hope that you can forgive me and accept my sincere apology.
期待回复：
I am looking forward to your reply.
