Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Revision
Show some pictures and practice the sentences:

Step 2 Consolidate new words
Look and say. The teacher shows the pictures of new words and let the students to say as quickly as possible.

【联想】
表示“某国人”的名词变复数时，直接在其后加-s:
American – Americans 美国人
Russian – Russians 澳大利亚人
Canadian – Canadians 加拿大人
2. They have been to many interesting places. 他们到过很多有趣的地方。
have/has been to +地点，表示“已经去过某地” 现在已经回来
have/has gone to +地点，表示“已经去了某地”现在还没有回来，此时可能在途中或已经到了目的地。
e.g. I have been to Shanghai. 我已经去过上海了。(此时已经回来了)
She has gone to Shanghai. 她已经去上海了。(此时已经在去上海的路上或已经到达上海了)
注意：
1) have / has been to常与ever, never, once, twice, how many times等连用。
2) have / has gone to常用于含有sb. is out, sb. isn’t in (...)等暗含某人不在说话现场的语境中。
3) 当have / has been to后面接表示地点的副词here, there, home, abroad等时，to要省略。

3. So far they have learnt to speak German, French, Chinese and Arabic.
so far “到目前为止”，是现在完成时的标志，既可放在句首、句中，也可放在句尾。
e.g. Mike has read five famous books so far. 到目前为止迈克已经读了五本名著了。
So far he has done very well at school. 到目前为止，他在学校表现很好。
4. Sometimes they mix the language.
有时, 他们会混用这些语言。
mix v. 相混合；融合
mix up 混合；混淆
mix together 混合在一起
mix with 和……混合
e.g. Oil and water don't mix.
These two words are similar. Don't mix them up.
She mixed the butter and sugar together.
Mix these eggs into / with the flour.
