学习 目标 1.学生能够听懂Let’s try中的对话并完成相关习题。 2.学生能够熟练阅读Let’s talk中的对话并回答相关问题。 3.学生能够认读本节课重点词汇special，show，festival等。 4.学生能够在情境中运用句型 “When is the art show —It’s on May 1st.” “ When is the reading festival —It’s on May 5th.” 询问并回答节日或活动的日期。
教学 重难点 1.学生能够区分in和on的区别和用法； 2.学生能够在情境中运用句型 “When is the art show —It’s on May 1st.” “ When is the reading festival —It’s on May 5th.” 询问并回答节日或活动的日期。
学情 分析 五年级的学生已经学习了几年英语，有一定英语基础。大部分同学具有强烈的好奇心和浓厚的学习兴趣，他们上课积极活跃。部分同学由于基础不扎实，缺乏自信，不愿表达，害怕开口。 在教学过程中，教师要改进课堂教学方式，让师生之间的课堂活动形式更加多样化，师生之间更加融洽;重新调整对学生的评价模式，让他基础弱的同学更好的发挥自身潜能，规范学习态度，严谨学习作风;并且加强与学生家长的交流，更好发挥家校共建作用:与问题学生多谈心，多交流，帮助他们想办法，解决学习上存在的问题，让他们看到努力后的结果。 学生们已经学习过有关月份和一些节日的词汇，本节课将在此基础上继续学习如何询问时间等。

Part 2 ： Let’s try.练习听力。 Step II: Let’s try: 1.Listen and tick T:Look! Mr Jones and Zhang Peng are talking. Which month are they talking about After listening S:April 2. Listen and check T:Look at the listening material. Let’s listen again and check the answer. 通过听听力回答问题，训练学生们的听力技能。
Part 3： Let’s talk学习对话内容。 Step III:Let’s talk: 1.Watch and choose T:Look! What does Mr Jones say S:There are some special days in May. T:So what are they Let’s watch and choose. After watching S:School art show and reading festival. 2.Listen and fill T:When is the art show Let’s listen and fill. After listening S:It’s on May 1st. T:It’s Labour Day, too. 3.Let’s think T:Let’s think: What can you do on the art show S:I can sing.... 4.Listen and fill T:When is the reading festival Let’s listen and fill. After listening S:It’s on May 5th. 5.Let’s say T:What do you think of May S:May is fun.
6.Let’s learn T:First let’s read these sentences. What’s the difference between “in” and “on” S:... 7.Listen and repeat T:Now let’s listen and repeat. 8.Role-play T:Now let’s role-play the conversation. 通过听、看等回答问题，学习Let’s talk中的对话。
Part 4： Let’s practice。练习。 Step IV:Let’s practice: 1.Let’s match and talk T:First let’s match. T:Now work with your partner. Ask and answer according to your matching. 2.Let’s think T:What other festivals do you know S:... 3.Let’s watch T:Now let’s watch a video. 4.Ask and answer T:Now work with your partner. Ask and answer the question. 5.Make a new dialogue T:Now work with your partner. Make a new dialogue. 6.Exercises T:Let’s do some exercises .... 通过练习进行巩固加强本节课内容。
Part 5： Summary。总结本节课学习内容。 Step V:Summary 1.Summary T:What words did we learn S:other, special, show, festival ..... T:What about sentences S:..... 通过提问的方式总结本节课词汇或者句型。
Part 6： Homework。布置作业 Step VI:Homework 1.Read “Let’s talk” and role play it with your partner. 2.Finish your exercise book. 通过布置作业巩固复习本节课单词以及句型。

教学反思：1.本课时侧重于对时间的提问和对回答的口语训练，是在上一单元的基础上进一步学习对具体日期的提问和回答，所以教师要多进行情景对话训练，帮助学生认识本单元与上一单元对时间回答的不同之处。 2.本课时涉及了序数词的相关知识，教师可以通过对句子的练习，加深学生对序数词的理解，为下一课时正式学习序数词打下基础。
