学习 目标 1. 语言能力：能体会Cartoon中人物的内心活动，并表演；能创设不同情境，并运用句型进行语言交际；能学唱歌曲Polly, put the kettle on； 2. 学习能力：深刻理解文本内涵，提升学生对人物品质的评价和反思能力； 3. 思维能力：通过对Cartoon文本的深度思考，探讨怎样才是好帮手，培养学生思维的深刻性和连贯性； 4. 文化意识：能通过深度解读文本，阐释和评价Cartoon中存在的情感、态度和价值观，准确鉴别是否是一个好帮手。
教学 重难点 1.能正确并熟练运用之前所学句型问答某人正在做某事； 2.能正确理解，朗读Cartoon time的故事，读懂其中的趣味之处并表演出来。
学情 分析 本课的授课对象是五年级的学生。Song time是一首欢快的歌曲。通过学唱歌曲来活跃学生的身心，调动学生的学习兴趣；Cartoon time呈现了关于瓢虫的科普故事，在故事中穿插运用现在进行时的句型让学生来了解文本内容。通过情境中Bobby先后的情感态度来让学生感受如何辨别是否是好帮手。

What does he do in his garden S:He grows grapes in it. 本环节先呈现图片，让学生在一分钟之内默写完成。教师出示答案，学生检查自己的默写是否正确。这样能带领学生巩固上节课基础词汇，用旧知引新知。 通过一个小游戏《吵闹的邻居》让学生听音辨动作，复习现在进行时的相关问答，并引出“water the flowers”的新词汇，由此让学生联想可以在哪些地方浇花，引出“garden”过渡到cartoon time的小故事中。

(to) do sth. 帮助某人做某事 help sb. with sth. 帮助某人某事 (3)But the ladybirds do not. 一般现在时否定句的省略形式，完整形式为：But the ladybirds do not go away. 让学生先听音频，看着图片排序。并且根据音频和图片猜测文本的大致内容。 学习文本中的生词，解决学生阅读障碍。 问题导入学习法，先熟知问题，再通过看视频回答这些问题。 听录音，逐句跟读，注意语音语调，建议学生加上自己的表情和动作。在文本学习中穿插一些重要知识点，包括小语法点和单词、词组辨析。
