As a powerful way to give back to the community and make a positive impact on the lives of others, volunteering serves as an indispensable way to provide individuals with a sense of fulfillment and construct a more supportive society.
My experience of working in a local nursing home can’t illustrate the point better. During the memorable experience, I spent quality time engaging in conversations, assisting with daily tasks, and providing companionship to the elderly. Additionally, we also arranged some interactive activities such as staging singing and dancing performances and make delicate cards with them, easing their loneliness and bringing a sense of warmth. It was incredibly rewarding to see the smiles on their faces and to know that I was making a difference in their lives.
It was such a meaningful experience that not only does it enriches my life but also serves as a reminder of the power of spreading kindness and supporting those in need.

Volunteering, an important way to give back to the society by reaching out hands plays an irreplaceable role in bringing warmth and kindness to the less fortunate people and contributes to a harmonious world we live in.
Of all the volunteer activities I have ever participated in, the one in the elderly home was the most memorable. Besides bringing some gifts and daily necessities to them, we did a thorough cleaning of the home and a laundry of their clothes, making it a more comfortable place for them to stay. Also, we had casual talks with these elderly people, listening to their stories and the life they lived, their faces beaming with smiles and satisfaction.
Seeing them enjoy our warmth and company, I felt our visit rewarding. It was a great encouragement to me, encouraging me to devote more efforts to volunteering, making the community a better place.

Good news! The newly-constructed indoor swimming pool in our school is to be open to everyone from next Monday on.
Perfectly equipped, the swimming pool is open from 1:00pm to 5:00pm on weekdays and 10:00am to 6:00pm on weekends. Volunteers are also available in case of emergency. While in here, please strictly follow the safety guidelines and swimming alone is never encouraged.
Swimming is truly a beneficial exercise, not only keeping you in shape and improving yourself physically, but also offering you a moment of freedom from heavy academic pressure/burden. So, make the best use of the very little of your free time and dive into this cool and refreshing experience!
