There was no computer or Internet in my time.
我那时候没有电脑也没有网络。
Before,I was quiet. Now I am very active in class.
以前我很安静。现在我在课堂上很活跃。
I was short, so I couldn't ride my bike well.Now I go cycling every day.
我以前个子小，自行车骑得不好。现在我天天骑车。
（四）重点语法：
1. 表示以前没有某物的句型
There was no + 单数名词/不可数名词 + 过去时间。
如：There was no library in my old school.我以前的学校里没有图书馆。
There were no + 复数名词 + 过去时间。
如：There were no computers or Internet in my time.我那时候没有电脑也没有网络。
【注意】： no+ 名词相当于not a / an / any + 名词。
如：There weren’t any computer rooms at all. There was no gym ,either.
那里根本没有计算机房。也没有健身房。
2. 表示不喜欢的句型
I didn’t like + 名词或动名词。
如：Before I didn’t like dogs. 以前我不喜欢狗。
Before I didn’t like beef. 以前我不喜欢牛肉。
Before I didn’t like going running.以前我不喜欢跑步。
3. 表示过去不能做或不会做的句型
I couldn’t + 动词原形。
如：I couldn’t go cycling before. 我以前不能骑自行车。
People couldn’t use the Internet in the Tang dynasty.
在唐朝人们不能使用互联网。
【注意】：一些常用的情态动词过去式：
can---could可以；能够 may---might 可能
will---would将会 should---shall 应该
4. 如何描述某人过去和现在的不同情况
① 外貌和性格： Before, 主语+was / were +形容词.
Now，主语+am / is / are +形容词.
如：Before I wasn’t tall. I was quiet. Now I am tall. I am active.
以前我个子不高很安静。现在我很高很活跃。
Before she had short hair. Now she has long hair.
她以前留短发。现在留长发。
Before he didn’t wear glasses. Now he wears glasses.
以前他不戴眼镜。现在他戴眼镜了。
②能力方面：Before, 主语 + couldn’t + 动词原形.
Now, 主语 + can + 动词原形.
如：Before I couldn’t swim. Now I can swim very well.
以前我不会游泳。现在我能游得很好。
③爱好方面：Before, 主语+didn’t like +名词 / 动词ing.
Now, 主语+like +名词 /动词ing.
如：Before he didn’t like reading books. Now he likes reading books.
以前他不喜欢读书。现在他喜欢读书。
3. be going to 一般将来时的结构：主语 + am/is/are going to + V.原形 + ...... “某人打算计划做什么”
One day you are going to visit the moon.
4. I looked it up on the Internet.

1. (1)could引导的一般过去时的否定句，在could之后加not： （could not = couldn’t）
