阅读下面材料，根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段，使之构成一篇完整的短文。
My mother and I spent several mornings cleaning up the dirt that had been blown into our house. My mother said all the dirt was a result of the drought, not just in our village, but all over the Great Plains.
Everything was covered with dirt. When my sister Faye and I walked to school, we covered our mouths with turbans (头巾) so we didn’t inhale (吸入) dirt. When the air quality was so bad that schools were closed, we stayed at home and helped my mother put wet sheets over the windows, but the dirt kept getting in.
Last Sunday, there was no dirt in the air, only bright spring sunshine and a clear blue sky. In the afternoon, Dad headed out to the field to check on the cattle while Mom started cleaning the house. Faye and I played in the yard. The temperature suddenly dropped—we felt good. The heat had been building since dawn.
Then Mom shouted from the house, “Iris, you and Faye get inside quickly now!”
I looked to the west and saw a huge cloud of black dust, like thick smoke from a railway engine’s chimney. All the birds flew away. “Faye, go with Mom!” I shouted. “I’ll warn Dad.”
Faye ran towards the house. The sandstorm hit so fast that I hardly saw her climb the porch steps. In a short time, the day turned into night. I screamed for Dad, hoping my voice would lead him back.
The dirt and sand stung my face like a thousand bees. I needed to get to a shelter. Covering my face with one hand, I made my way towards our car and opened the door. Dirt flew in with me as I pulled the door closed. Dad was still out there! I needed to help him find the car.
I searched the dashboard and found the switch for the front lights. They lit up a little, but would Dad see them in the thick darkness I pushed the horn again and again, hoping Dad would hear it.

“You can play later, but how about going outside for a little bit It’s good to get some fresh air, and who knows, you might even enjoy yourself.” Frank reluctantly put on the warm clothes and headed outside.
Standing alone in the front yard, with the cold wind blowing, was not Frank’s idea of a good time. Knowing his mom meant what she said, the boy sighed, thinking the quicker he completed his snowman, the faster he could go back inside to his video games. He started packing up some snow into a large ball.
Moments later, he saw one of his classmates emerging from his house up the street. Danny waddled (蹒跚行走) out in his puffy snow pants and heavy overcoat. He waved to Frank.
“Hey there! I saw you out here and thought you might want company. Snow days are awesome!” Danny laughed.
