Why:The conversations provide examples of how to describe animals in other ways. which can help students improve their listening and speaking ability in listening to recordings, and improve their communication ability in dialogues practice. How:1a shows the animals and description words. and learn the vocabulary to lower the difficulty of listening. At the same time, 1b enhance the new words through listening, and lower the difficulty of 1c. 1c write down the description words.1d connects the textbook knowledge to oral practice, and improve the communication ability.
教学目标 By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: 语言能力:use key sentence patterns to further describe the personality and characteristics of their favorite animals through listening and speaking activities. Listen and speak to learn more about animal names and adjectives to describe their characteristics. 文化意识:By expressing their favorite animals, students are guided to care for and protect animals. 思维品质:Accurately obtain key information through listening and speaking activities, and learn to use what you have learned to communicate, and apply what you have learned. Lead in (3’)
Step 1 T greets students. Then T leads Ss to watch the video. Do you like animals What animasl do you like Ss think about the question by looking at the video and then actively answer T. Video can quickly attract Ss’ interest in English. And lead in this lesson’s topic

Pre-listening (7’)
Step 2 T presents the pictures of animals and asks Ss to speak out the description words of them. Ss speak out the words and learn the new words according to these pictures. Learn the new words according to the real situation, and lower the difficulty of listening.
Step 3 T show the new description words and teach them Ss learn about the new wrods. lower the difficulty of listening
Step 4 And then asks Ss to finish the 1a- Match the description words with the animals. You can use some words more than once. Match the description words with the animals. Show the new words by observing the picture. Pictures are livelier.
Step 5 T leads Ss to Work in pairs and make conversations according to the pictures in 1a. Then act out your own conversation. Have pair work and make conversations. Learn the new knowledge by speaking them out.

While-listening (15’)
Step 6 T plays the recording in 1b for the first time to ask Ss to finish 1b. Listen and circle the description words you hear in 1a. It can help Ss improve their ability of listening, and enhance the new words again.
Step 7 T plays the recording in 1c for the second time and lets them finish the second task to ask Ss to finish 1c. What words do they use to describe the animals Listen again. Fill in the chart. It can help Ss understand the detail of listening materials. And improve the skill of listening.
Step 8 T plays the recording for the third time to ask Ss to Listen again and answer the questions. Ss Listen again and fill in the blanks. Get the main information and detail information by listening , writing and exercising.

Post-listening (10’)
