arrive at表示到达比较小的地方;arrive in则表示到达比较大的地方。
e.g. When you arrive in Shanghai, I will meet you.

I arrive at school at half past seven every day.
我每天都是七点半到校。
Language points
辨析:arrive, get to与reach
arrive作不及物动词,后接表示地点的名词时需加介词in或at
到达
get to后接表示地点的副词时需去掉介词to
reach作及作动词,后面直接加表示地点的名词
2. I need neither my heavy winter coat nor my
boots now! 我现在既不需要厚外套,也不需要靴子!
neither... nor… 既不……也不……
连接并列主语时,用就近原则。
e.g. Neither his parents nor he enjoys scary movies.
他父母和他都不喜欢恐怖电影。
辨析:neither... nor..., either... or..., both... and..., not only... but also...
neither… nor… 既不……也不…… 连接两个并列的主语时,谓语动词的单复数形式和邻近的主语保持一致。 Neither he nor I am interested in this book. 他和我都对这本书不感兴趣。
either… or… 或者……或者…… Either his parents or he cleans the rooms. 或者他的父母或者他打扫房间。
both… and… ……和…… (两者)都 连接两个并列的主语时,谓语动词用复数形式。 Both you and he are doing well. 你和他都做得非常好。
not only… but also… 不仅……而且…… 连接两个并列的主语时,谓语动词的单复数形式和邻近的主语保持一致。 Not only he but also I am fond of pets. 不仅他,我也喜欢宠物。
辨析:neither... nor..., either... or..., both... and..., not only... but also...
