To be able to understand the long sentence: It introduces the features of smart homes where you can turn lights on and off through your smart phone. Ability objectives: To be able to understand an article about the changes the innovation has brought. To be able to master how to write a proposal about uses of new technologies. Give some introduction and review some words:smart kitchen;smart phone;smart lock;modern machine;multimedia classroom;light and electricity;transportation... Discuss the benefits of the innovations: Longer time;short distance; light and brightness; more knowledge,easy lesson; save both time and labour; clean,convenience... Look at the pictures and tell the differences and changes . Learn the words and expressions to feel the changes these years under the technology times.Then sum them up. Read options to know their emphasis, then read the passage fast to get the main idea and choose the right title.Check answers and explain the reason. (Key words:Robot,examples;dangers,changed) 2.Read and complete. Ask students to read the text one paragraph by one , analyze each paragraph to fill in the missing information in the mind map.Learn the basic structure of a argumentation. Read the article carefully the understand the writer’s opinion and how to support his opinion while write:set examples ;compare; 3.Read and decide. Read carefully to decide the sentence true or false, and correct the wrong information with a proper reason. Ask some students to show their answers and explain the reason. Find the key information or sentence to support the option of the title. Exchange their ideas. (The title and last sentence in the last paragraph.) Ask student to read the paragraph and find the missing information to fill in the mind map.Know the basic structure of a argumentation. 3.Read carefully to find the detailed information to support each sentence in groups,then give answer and check together in the class. 快读提炼信息,找出支持标题的语句,培养学生思维能力,认识应用型议论文的写作特点。 查读课文,查找所缺信息,培养学生提取信息的能力。同时学习议论文的写作结构和论证方法的使用。 细读课文,判断课文细节对错,培养学生的观察能力,认识创新的对生活、生产的改变,以及我们身边无处不在的科技产品,感知科技的力量,增强人类命运共同体意识。Step 3: Reading article learning Language points analysis. 1.Analyze the important words and phrases about technological innovation :warn,innovation ,previously,feature,besides,in the beginning,be doubtful about ,face to face,be surrounded by,in a way,secure,benefit,robot,turn on 2.It introduces the features of smart homes where you can turn lights on and off through your smart phone.
