The fable tells of a king who disguised himself and deliberately placed a large stone in the middle of the road in order to test the attitudes of the people towards the problem, and hid gold coins under the stone. Many people passing by mostly complained and did not care, but finally a girl pushed the stone away and got the unexpected gold coins and the king's praise. 【Why】This fable is intended to make the students realize the morals of life. Students are required to read the fable and the educational meaning behind the story. They should think deeply about the symbolized meaning of the stone and the girl in the fable. They should realize that social problems cannot be ignored, but should be seen as their responsibility. 【How】The fable unfolds in narrative language, using the simple past tense. Through the attitudes of different people towards the same stone in the road, the hidden truth behind the story is revealed. The idea of the fable is clear and the details of the story are clear. Students are required to be able to analyze and evaluate the plot and characters based on their understanding of the fable and complete a well-structured fable review. 【The position and function of the discourse in the unit】 This is a reading for writing class, where reading is followed by writing, and students are encouraged to express opinions. It belongs to the output and use of language.2. 学情分析 Students are from Senior One. They have the ability to summarize and analyze to some degree, look for basic information of the text, understand and initially explore the educational meaning of the text, and make some comments.
