教材分析 本课教学内容选自高等教育出版社出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材,《英语2 基础模块》中第一单元的热身(Warming Up)和听说(Listening and Speaking)板块,要求学生能够了解预订房间时需要提供的信息,以及如何询问旅游目的地的情况。
学情分析 旅游是生活多样化和丰富阅历的娱乐方式,不少学生也会因家庭条件,去过好多地方旅游,对这一话题有兴趣度。对于一些常见的旅游咨询,如book hotel room和book tickets,学生有一定了解,也能用简单句式I’d like to book表达需求。但对更多房间要求的选择谈论能力有限,用英文讨论订房需求、询问旅游目的地的情况的知识储备不充分,也无法在交际中,运用所学句型获取相关信息。此外,针对服务类专业学生,也需要提升其房间预定、目的地景点问询、旅游产品推介的职场语言沟通能力。因此需要激发学生兴趣,引导学生从语言输入到输出,从跟读模仿,到控制性练习,最后到订房、介绍旅游景点的有效语言交际。
学习目标 Knowledge objectives: To learn words and phrases about travel:guide,on-the-way,coach,province,marvelous,dense,vegetation,scenic spot,be famous for,ethnic culture. To be able to use these sentences skillfully: Can I help you,Madam/Sir /Why not take a look at ... ?/Could you tell us more about ... /What is the most famous scenic spot here Ability objectives: To be able to book hotel room and ask for the information about destination. Emotional objectives: To live comfortably while traveling. To respect different people’s different travel needs.

Step 1: Lead in Play a video about world scenic spots. Present different words about scenic spots. Make use of some games to practice vocabularies about countries and scenic spots. Learn the vocabularies about different scenic spots. 通过视频的方式导入旅游这一主题,学习旅游景点的英语词汇,及所在国家,为后面的活动做铺垫。
Step 2: Warming up Think and match Introduce the scenic spots and ask students to use sentences: “I’d like to travel to... ,because I like..../I don’t like to travel to ...,because ... ” to talk about the scenic spots and food there they like and don’t like. Tick and discuss. Present the pictures and phrase to discuss what we should prepare before a travel,we can also add something else to prepare after discussing. 1.Use sentence patterns to talk about scenic spots they like and dislike. 2.Learn what we should prepare before a travel. 本环节旨在了解更多的旅游项目,为旅游做充足的准备,并在有语言提示的情况下,简单运用相关表达,为下一环节的听说活动做准备。
Step 3: Listening Listen and tick. Look at the pictures and let students predict the content of the listening. Then play the listening. Listen and choose. Before playing the listening, ask students to pay attention to the dates.Then get the right dates. Listen and complete. Before listening, let students read the room booking memo first and know what they should get while listening .Then play the listening to get the key information and check their answers. Finish the listening activities “Listen and tick/Listen and choose/Listen and complete” in the book. 本环节旨在训练学生根据已有的信息预测听力内容,在听的过程中获取、归纳并记录关键信息,侧重培养学生语言沟通能力和语言交互能力。
Step 4: Dialogue learning Listen and answer. listen the recording twice. At the first time let students answer “Where are they going ”. At the second time, present some detailed questions “What do they see in the coach ” “What scenic spots will they see ” “What else will they experience during the journey ” Read and underline. Read the dialogue after the recording to underline the sentences about destination. Then check the answers. Language points analysis. Analyze the important words and phrases of the dialogue:guide,on-the -way,coach,province,marvelous,dense,vegetation,scenic spot,be famous for,ethnic culture. Listen the recording twice and answer the questions. Follow the recording and finish the task. Understand the important language points and take notes. 本环节通过听录音回答问题,划出行目的地的语句,分析重难点等活动,使学生掌握讨论出行目的地的基础语言表达。夯实重点,为之后的口语输出做准备。
Step 5: Speaking 1.Imitate and practice. 1)Present the the scenic spots and its special and relative information:Jiuzhaigou Valley,China(natural green lakes,dense forests,giant panda national park); Eiffel Tower ,France(unique design,designed by the engineer Gustave Eiffel,built for the 1889World Fair in Paris) 2)Make own dialogue using the information above,then act it out in front of the class. 3)Teacher gives some advice and correct mistakes. 2.Role play. 1)Introduce the guests some travel products according to their needs and show some pictures. 2)Make own dialogue using the information above,then act it out in front of the class. 3)Teacher gives some advice and correct mistakes. Imitate activity 6 and make up a new dialogue and then practice with partners. Know how to talk about scenic spots and give guests travel products according to their needs. 本环节通过跟读范本中重点句型、替换关键词模仿练习等活动,使学生掌握介绍景点的基础语言表达。在此基础上,进一步迁移到实际的旅游产品介绍语境中,培养学生的语言交互能力和思维能力。此外,通过情境中的交际活动,注重培养学生旅游服务中的得体礼仪,提高职业综合素养。
Step 6: Summary 1.guide 向导;导游 eg:I know the place well, so let me be your guide 2.on-the -way 在途中;在路上 eg:On the way home,l met my new English teacher. 3.coach 长途汽车;长途大巴 eg:The coach was full ,so another one was put on . 长途汽车已满员,所以增开了一辆。 4.province 省;行政区; eg:Hainan province is in the south of our country. 5.marvelous 好极了 eg:The autumn is marvelous here. 6.dense 浓的,密度大的 eg: This area was covered in dense jungle. 7.vegetation 植被 eg: We don’t see as many types of vegetation,trees and grasses. 8.scenic spot 风景区 eg:Hangzhou is famed for its scenic spots . 9.be famous for 因... 而出名 eg:Gui Lin is famous for its beautiful sights. 10.ethnic culture 民族文化 eg:Hainai i Island is rich in ethnic cultures and seafood.
Step 7: Homework 1.Imitate activity 6 and the dialogue you have made in class to make up another one 2.Design a must-have list for travel
