教材分析 本课教学内容选自高等教育出版社出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材，《英语2 基础模块》中第二单元的热身（Warming Up）和听说（Listening and Speaking）板块，要求学生能够围绕就诊情况进行交流，并就健康实际情况为咨询者给出合适对策。
学情分析 健康和保健作为人们生活中很重要的一个话题，尤其是近三年疫情期间大家谈之更甚，所以这一话题学生兴趣度高。对于简单的个人健康问题获取，已有一定的语言储备，能用What’s wrong / I feel /have... 等获取和表达身体情况。但就问询更多健康细节和中西方就诊方式的不同，以及用英文讨论病症、病因、诊断结果等情况的知识储备不充分，也无法在交际中，运用所学句型获取更全面的身体情况的信息。本节教学通过听说中各项任务和和活动的开展，有利于培养学生的语言沟通能力，并在职业情景下进行语言交互，提升学习的迁移能力、思维能力和解决实际问题的能力。
学习目标 Knowledge objectives: To learn words and phrases about health：appointment number、have a sore throat、 have a terrible cough、 have a bad cold、 take medicine、 have a good rest、 heavy food、 do more exercise、avoid、recover To be able to use these sentences skillfully: Here is my appointment number./What's wrong with you /How long have you been like this /I'm afraid you have..../What can I do about it /What else should I pay attention to /When can I recover from it /It will take .. Ability objectives: To be able to talk about the health problem and give proper suggestions according to the physical condition. Emotional objectives: To care about others and their health. To understand the habit of telephone appointment in western countries.
学习重难点 1)To skillfully master the words and sentences about how to talk about the health problem and give proper suggestions according to the physical condition. 2)To understand the differences between traditional Chinese and western medicine.

Step 1: Lead in Talk about two questions about the symptoms of the first wave of COVID-19 infection. Show some symptoms to answer “Yes or No”. Ask and answer in pairs in different form. 通过身边的实际情景问答，让学生融入课堂，激发兴趣，更改问答形式输入更多语言信息，让讨论更丰富,为接下来的热身做准备。
Step 2: Warming up Think and match Match the picture with the health problems. Tick and describe. Use the phrases and sentences to make own dialogue in pairs ,and describe the symptoms and give the proper suggestions.Then ask some groups to act it out in front of the class. 1.Match the pictures with the words to remember the health problems correctly. 2.Act the dialogue to grasp the sentences and phrases,and show others yours care. 热身环节让学生更好的掌握身体病症的表达，学会关心他人的身体状况并给与合适建议。
Step 3: Listening Listen and tick. Look at the pictures and let students predict the content of the listening. Then play the listening. Listen and decide. Before playing the listening, ask students to pay attention to the details,and decide if the sentence is right.At last correct the wrong sentences. Listen and complete. Before listening, let students read the medical record sheet first and know what they should get while listening .Then play the listening to get the key information to fill in the blanks and check their answers. Finish the listening activities “Listen and tick/Listen and decide/Listen and complete” in the book. 本环节旨在训练学生根据已有的信息预测听力内容，在听的过程中获取、归纳并记录关键信息，侧重培养学生提取关键信息的能力。
Step 4: Dialogue learning Listen and answer. listen the recording twice. At the first time let students answer “What’ s wrong with Jack ”. At the second time, present some detailed questions “How is Jack feeling now ” “What suggestions did the doctor give Jack ” “What else should Jack pay attention to ” “ When will Jack recover from it ” Read and underline. Read the dialogue after the recording to underline the sentences about seeing a doctor. Then check the answers. Language points analysis. Analyze the important words and phrases of the dialogue:appointment number,have a sore throat,have a terrible cough,have a bad cold,take medicine,have a good rest,heavy food,do more exercise,avoid,recover. Listen the recording twice and answer the questions. Follow the recording and finish the task. Understand the important language points and take notes. 本环节通过听录音回答问题,划础就诊相关的语句，分析重难点等活动，使学生掌握中西方就医问诊的基础语言表达。夯实重点，为之后的口语输出做准备。
Step 5: Speaking 1.Imitate and practice. 1)Review the useful sentences together:Here is my appointment number./What's wrong with you /How long have you been like this /I'm afraid you have..../What can I do about it /What else should I pay attention to /When can I recover from it /It will take .. 2)Make own dialogue using the information above,then act it out in front of the class. 3）Teacher gives some advice and correct mistakes. 2.Role play. 1)According to the information to finish the dialogue about the health problem and suggestions. 2)Make own dialogue using the information above,then act it out in front of the class. 3）Teacher gives some advice and correct mistakes. Imitate activity 6 and make up a new dialogue and then practice with partners. Know how to talk about health problems and give suggestions according to their issues. 本环节通过跟读范本中重点句型、替换关键词模仿练习等活动，使学生掌握就医问诊的基础语言表达。在此基础上，进一步迁移到实际的学校医务室工作语境中，培养学生的语言交互能力和思维能力。此外，通过情境中的交际活动，注重培养学生医护服务中的得体礼仪，提高职业综合素养。
Step 6: Summary 1.appointment number 预约号 Eg:My appointment number is 5,so I have to wait for a moment. 2.have a sore throat 喉咙痛 Eg:I have a sore throat and it hurts like a knife. 3.have a terrible cough 咳得很厉害 Eg:I had a terrible cough last night and I even couldn’t lie down all the night. 4.have a bad cold 得了重感冒 Eg:If you have a bad cold, you cannot taste. 5.take medicine 吃药 Eg:We are all taking medicine against the disease. 6.have a good rest 好好休息 Eg:Have a good rest and don't worry about your work. 7.heavy food 油腻而难消化的食物 Eg:The doctor warned him against heavy food. 8.do more exercise 多锻炼 Eg:You must do more exercise if you want to be thinner. 9.avoid v. 避免，防止 Eg:They avoid going out alone after dark. recover vt. 恢复 Eg:She fell ill soon after and did not recover.
Step 7: Homework Imitate activity 6 and the dialogue you have made in class to make up another one. 2.Write a diary about how to keep healthy.
