教材分析 本课教学内容选自高等教育出版社出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材，《英语2 基础模块》中第三单元的Language Practice板块，要求学生掌握过去进行时态的基本用法并对其进行运用，提高语用能力；完成语境中的练习任务，巩固并真正会运用本单元的语言点。
学情分析 过去进行时态，是初中已经学过的八大时态之一，在例句选用上对课文内容起到进一步巩固复习的作用，同时也可在学生小组合作的任务型学习中，再次对语法点进行的巩固复习。词语运用的练习是巩固版本单元的语言点。这节语言练习课难度低，实用性和可操作性强，有利于激发学生学习积极性，提高学生的语用能力。
学习目标 Knowledge objectives: To master the usage of the past continuous tense . To be able to use the language points correctly. Ability objectives: To be able to improve the language skills. Emotional objectives: To be able to interested in English grammar.
学习重难点 To be able to distinguish the two tenses:the past tense and the past continuous tense. To be able to finish the exercises.

Step 1: Lead in 1. Show some pictures about a situation to describe the story. 1.Students describe the pictures in right tense. 通过讲述图片中的故事，使用正确的时态表达，小组合作纠错改正，激发学生的学习主动性。为接下来的语法学习做铺垫。
Step 2: Grammar 1.Read and find. 1)Read the sentences to review the past continuous tense. 2)Summarize the structural features of the past continuous tense. 2.Read and complete. Use the right verb forms to fill in task15. Read and choose. Choose the right phrase to complete and finish task 16. 4.Read and talk. Choose a situation to make own dialogue in pairs in task 17 by practicing the past continuous tense. Students obverse the sentences to summarize the tense. 2.Finish tasks to master the past continuous tense in sentences ,passage and in real situations. 本环节语法学习从课文实例出发，总结时态结构及不同形式变换，再从句子，短文和实际语境中练习。由概念输入到结构运用的输出真正做到了学以致用。小组合作和任务型教学，让学生体会到掌握并灵活运用语言的成就感。
Step 3: Vocabulary 1.Choose and complete. Review the phrases to finish task18. 2.Read and complete. Review the words to finish task19. Finish the task 18and 19 to review the useful words and phrases ,and review their original sentences in which they appear. 本环节旨在训练学生使用学过得单词和短语完成相应的任务，复习原句的同时又增设了新的使用场景，检测学生语言的输入情况，更进一步检测输出能力。
Step 4: Summary Grammar 过去进行时：1.定义 标志词 结构 和一般过去时的时间词区别
Step 7: Homework 1.Remember the important words and phrases in this section. 2.Complete the grammar exercises in the workbook.
