教材分析 本课教学内容选自高等教育出版社出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材，《英语2 基础模块》中第二单元的Culture Understanding and Group Work板块，要求学生拓展阅读，并通过小组交流，读懂图表完成任务。
学情分析 中医承载着中国古代人民同疾病作斗争的经验及理论知识，通过长期医疗实践逐步形成并发展成的医学理论体系。本单元的健康主题，文化拓展选用中医为话题，再加入两位外国友人的亲身感受，有助于增强学生的民族自豪感和文化自信，阅读时的兴趣度也高。本节教学通过讨论完成布置的阅读任务，拓展中医知识。小组活动中给出实际问题和数据图，通过完成任务，培养学生的读图能力，对图表的表述能力，及解决实际问题的能力。
学习目标 Knowledge objectives: To learn words and phrases about health：TCM,massage,acupuncture ,five elements,Yin-yang Ability objectives: To be able to talk about charts and solve the real problems. Emotional objectives: To enhance national confidence and cultural pride.
学习重难点 1)To understand the reading passage and the importance of the traditional Chinese medicine. 2)To read the charts and give proper suggestions.

Step 1: Lead in Talk about Hua Tuo. Ask some students to tell something about Hua Tuo. 通过著名任务华佗的故事导入本课中医的文化拓展。让学生融入课堂，激发兴趣，为接下来的阅读做准备。
Step 2: Culture Understanding 1.Find the sentences about the origin and characteristics of TCM. 2.Comments on TCM from two foreign friends: 3.Think and match 4.Think and discuss：Can you name some of the uses of TCM in daily life What are they 1.Read the first paragraph to find the origin and characteristics of TCM. 2.Read the second and third paragraphs to conclude the comments from the two foreign friends. 3.Match the pictures and words to know more about TCM. 4.Discuss to know more about TCM. 文化理解分段阅读完成相应任务，并通过学生讨论和分享知识，让更多中医知识进入课堂和大家视野，真正达到文化理解，增强学生的民族自豪感和文化自信。
Step 3: Group Work 1.Read the charts below and try to understand what each of them means.Listen and decide. 2.Read the following words and try to fill in the missing information based on the charts above。 3.Discuss in groups.Work with your group members,try to find out possible health problems,and give your health suggestions. Finish the task and chart in group .Share their answers to get more suggestions about the health problems.Use them in own real life. 本环节旨在训练学生读图和表述图中信息的能力，并在理解图中信息的基础上，讨论找出这些健康问题产生的原因及解决办法。培养学生根据已有图表信息进行英语表述的能力，推测问题产生的原因并解决问题的能力。
