教材分析 本课教学内容选自《英语 拓展模块》第五单元“New Technologies in Everyday Life”读写板块（Reading and Writing）。阅读板块以工作和生活中的新技术为主题，包含四个介绍新技术产品的语篇和一个介绍我国高铁的说明类语篇，分别从个人角度和国家角度呈现新科技的发展，旨在引导学生从不同角度感受新科技对个人和社会的巨大影响，激发出国家认同感和自豪感，培养学生的爱国情怀。写作板块（Writing）包含三个活动，分别在商业宣传和策划等方面呈现了学习内容，活动中呈现邀请函和活动计划两种应用类语篇的结构，目的是帮助学生熟悉活动计划中包含的要素和写作特点，完成活动计划的撰写，为毕业后活动策划以及实现策划所需做的准备。
学情分析 技术与生活是学生日常生活紧密相关的话题。学生已经掌握部分新技术的名称和基本使用方法，如：scan the QR code、ride a shared bike、install a bike sharing APP等以及询问功能和使用方法的句型如：“Can you show me how to do that What function does it have ”但是对学生新技术的功能缺乏语言支持，无法深入探讨新技术的特点和优势，英语综合应用能力较弱。本课由易及难，帮助学生深入了解新技术的发展，提供有关新技术特点和优势的短语和句型，建构主动的学习意识和主动表达意识，树立对我国高科技产品发展的信心和自豪感。

Step 1: Lead-in Watch and answer Watch a video and answer the following questions. Q 1: What are China’s top ten technologies leading the world Q 2：What function does it have Watch a video China’s top ten technologies leading the world and answer. 通过观看中国的高科技，让学生感受国家科技水平的进步，激发出国家认同感和自豪感，培养学生的爱国情怀。
Step 2: Pre-reading Read and match Let students underline the key words of the titles, then skim the four texts and match their suitable title. Students read the text for several times and finish the reading exercises to match their titles. 通过阅读四个短语篇为说明文并匹配标题的学习活动，目的是训练学生快速阅读并通过捕捉关键词理解语篇主旨大意的能力,激活原有语言知识，提升学习兴趣，为后续阅读活动做铺垫。
Step 3: While reading Read and answer Q1: What is the topic of the text Q2:What are the features of Fuxing Hao Read and choose Ask them to read the introduction and choose the answers. Read and complete Ask students to read the introduction again and fill in the blanks of the information form. Language points Analyze the important words and phrases of the text like has a fastest commercial railway service, on its own, carry out the world’s fastest railway services, in terms of have largest high-speed railway network ... finish filling in the blanks about the introduction of high-speed train, understand the important language points and take notes 本部分借助阅读策略，培养学生在阅读过程中通过快速阅读查找关键词信息，对比分析并提炼主要信息的能力，从而解读文本内涵。学生对文章的关键信息、细节信息对比分析，在对比分析中培养逻辑分析、推理判断的能力。
Step 4: Post-reading (Writing) Read and match Let students skim the subject of the event plan and match the name with each part of the plan. Read and answer Ask students to read and underline the key words and wh-words to answer the questions. Read and complete. Read the invitation letter to Mr. Woods, complete the event plan. Read the event plan carefully finish filling in the blanks about smart-tech product launch, and read Mr. Woods’ invitation letter then complete the event plan. 本部分主要是写作练习活动，主题为谈论芯片发布会计划和邀请函主题内容。通过活动学生能获取新品发布会等活动的主要元素，包括活动时间、地点、目的、议程等信息。同时在活动中进行知识迁移，以邀请函的方式输出信息。提升学生语言应用能力，促进知识内化吸收，引导学生理解新技术为生活带来的积极影响。
