一、整体设计思路
话题内容: 通过谈论昨天在某处和过去的身体情况，询问过去的事情和情况。 主要功能：用过去时态描述过去发生的事情。 语法结构：学习过去时态，即过去某个时间发生的事情，was were.的一般疑问句及答语。
二、教学背景分析
教学内容分析： 本课时的课文情景是Lingling给Amy看自己爷爷的照片，并告诉Amy爷爷现在深圳。Amy知道现在的深圳是一座大城市，而Lingling告诉她，以前深圳只是一个小渔村，由此展开了本课的话题，了解深圳过去与现在的不同。通过对这一课的学习帮助学生进一步复习was, were的用法，同时帮助学有余力的同学进行适当的拓展练习。 学生情况分析： 四年级的学生有了一年的英语学习积累，已经初步掌握了一些生活中常见动物和物品的名词词汇表达法，已经具备初步的听、说、认读等语言功能。本单元的教学是以未来计划为主线的话题活动，与生活有着密切的联系，学生比较感兴趣。四年级的学生比较活泼好动，表现欲较强，模仿的能力也很强，喜欢游戏和活动。因此在课堂上创设多种情境设计适量的游戏、活动，引导学生在较为真实的语言环境中学习目标语言。
