教材分析 本课教学内容选自《英语 拓展模块》第七单元“Finding a Job”读写板块(Reading and Writing)。本板块内容以求职应聘为主题,共有四个短语篇与一个长语篇阅读活动以及三个写作活动。目的是训练快速阅读及获取语篇主旨大意的能力和获取细节信息与理解语篇内容的能力,也为学生重视工作责任意识等综合素质提供了内容载体。该板块教学内容要求在求职应聘的语境中,学生能够理解理解语篇信息,梳理事件发展过程,认识求职应聘的全过程;能够读懂求职信,提炼关键信息,填写求职人员个人信息卡;熟悉求职信的结构要素,根据信息描述撰写求职信。
学情分析 求职应聘是与学生职业生涯紧密相关的话题。学生有寻找实习或兼职工作面试的体验,为读懂面试经历的文章奠定了生活基础,学生有进一步学习的意愿;但学生在长篇阅读中梳理事件发展存在困难,不熟悉个人简历、招聘广告、求职信等文体结构和特点,因拼写、句式积累不足而无法准确运用语言撰写求职信。因而教师在课堂上通过组织阅读求职应聘的各类文本,使学生感知、总结文本结构,先进行知识的理解应用,再迁移创新,最后能够在求职应聘的各类阅读文本中快速、准确地获取信息,理解主题,完成求职信的撰写。活动由易及难,不断增强学生表达的自信心,提高语言运用能力。

Emotional objective Raise the awareness of job responsibilities and understand the importance of dealing with emergencies in job seeking.
学习重难点 Teaching important points: Get key information of a résumé, a want ad, an application letter and a promotion notice. Master the vocabulary and sentence patterns related to career development and job hunting; Teaching difficult point: Write an application letter.

Step 2: Pre-reading Read and match Let students underline the key words of the titles, then skim the four texts and match their suitable title. Students read the text for several times and finish the reading exercises to match their titles. 通过阅读四个短篇分别从个人简历、招聘广告、求职信、升职通知邮件等方面呈现了阅读内容,目的是训练快速阅读及获取语篇主旨大意的能力,同时让学生了解职业发展的相关内容, 熟悉与主题相关的不同文本类型。
Step 3: While reading Read and underline Read the story and underline the key words, time, and adversative conjunction(转折连词) to predict the result. Read and choose Ask them to read the story and choose the answers. Read and complete Ask students to read the story again and fill in the blanks of the experiences of job hunting. Language points Analyze the important words and phrases of the text like the spirit of craftsmanship, National Model Worker, improve quality, be well known for, be capable of, take measures ... Discuss What would you do if you were the writer finish filling in the blanks about the introduction of Clay Figure Zhang, understand the important language points and take notes 本部分以求职应聘为主要话题,通过文本类型匹配、选择、填写流程图等题型的阅读语篇内容,为学生创设情境,提升学生在阅读中获取并梳理关键信息的能力;通过阅读文本,引导学生理解不同类型文本的特点;帮助学生树立良好的职业发展意识,理解求职应聘中具备责任意识和应对突发事件能力的重要意义。
Step 4: Post-reading (Writing) Think and answer Q1: What will you do when you find a satisfying job on the Internet Q2: What will you write in your job application Suggested answers: Q1: Send a job application letter on the Internet. Q2: The aim to write the letter, introduce my major, advantage, certifications and internship experiences, hope to have an interview chance. Read and match Let students skim the structure names and match the name with each part of the job application letter. Read and complete Ask students to read and pay attention to the structure of the job application letter and skim the key words to complete the job applicant’s information card. Read and write. Read Wei Fang’s self-introduction, complete her job application letter. Read Christine Lee’s job application letter carefully finish filling in the job applicant’s information card; then read Wei Fang’s self-introduction to complete her job application letter. 本环节主要是写作练习活动,主题为根据求职者信息完成求职信的写作。学生通过获取、梳理求职者信息,模仿文本,替换文本信息进行求职信的写作练习,逐步提升自己的知识迁移能力;通过拓展话题讨论,全面了解求职信的写作要求,理解公文写作的重要性,促进知识的内化吸收,全面提升职场能力。
