资源简介 课 题 Unit 8 Making a Career Plan (Listening and Speaking) 课 型 Listening and Speaking 课 时 2授课班级 授课时间 90mins 授课教师教材分析 本课教学内容选自《英语 拓展模块》第八单元“Making a Career Plan”听说板块(Listening and Speaking)。本板块内容以职业选择和职业咨询为主题,共有四个短对话和两个长对话听力活动以及两个口头交际活动。该板块教学内容要求在讨论职业选择和规划的语境中,学生能够听懂职业选择和规划的对话,填写职业咨询信息表;熟悉描述职业变化和咨询的表达,口头简要咨询职业规划和前景;并能够向同伴介绍自己的职业规划,为就业做出努力。学情分析 职业选择和规划是学生终身都要面临的话题。本单元是上一单元的扩展和延续,即职业规划。学生在上一单元中学习过职业选择的话题,对于求职的流程和个人基本情况介绍等要素可进行迁移应用,如speak English fluently、be good at和communicate with people等词块以及“What is your advantage ”和“What qualifications do you have ”等句型。学生只有在了解自己的基础上才能更好地选择和规划职业。但学生对于职业选择和规划等内容认知尚浅,对自己的认识存在不足,且对未来的规划并不清晰。同时,学生存在话题词汇量小、句式基本结构使用混乱等语言知识问题,听力过程中的策略运用较弱,听取的是不成意群的少量文本内容,对听力内容深入理解有困难;口语上有表达的诉求,但在表达某一观点时,会受汉语语境影响,存在英文输出不够准确的问题,因而教师在课堂上通过模拟职业咨询的方式,由易及难,先让学生从了解自己入手,同时注重话题词汇归类总结,提高表达的准确性,最后帮助学生完成职业咨询和阐述自己职业规划内容的对话。学习目标 Knowledge objective Master the useful expressions about job goals and plans. I choose this job because I am interested in fixing cars/because my mother wants me to be a chef. I think personal interest/personal ability/family expectations may affect one’s decision when they choose jobs. Students watch the video and read the questions to think the answers. 通过观看视频让学生了解计划到计划成为现实中间所经历的过程。学生通过思考明确自己的职业目标,为后面学习和找工作做铺垫。Step 2: Listening Activity 1: Listen and match Ask students to scan career activities to underline the key words, and predict the content of the dialogue. Then play the listening materials. Activity 2: Listen and choose Ask students to scan the questions and options and draw the key words such as how (what, how long and why), nouns (tour guide, computer engineer and photographer) adj. (hard-working, lazy, easy-going and honest)and some words about career such as new department, office, manager, salary etc. Students actively predict the dialogue content, develop their ability to predict the listening content based on key information known. Activity 3: Listen and complete Ask students to scan service record’s information and fill in the blanks. Guide the students to draw the key information in the table, such as client’s name, type of service , appointment time, quiz result and recommended jobs. Then play the recording. Finish the listening activities “Listen and match, Listen and choose and Listen and complete” in the textbook. 本环节以职业经历和职业咨询服务为主要话题,通过信息匹配、选择、填空等题型的听力对话内容,为学生创设话题语境,在熟悉话题的基础上,提升学生根据已知信息获取关键信息的能力,引导学生梳理良好的职业生涯规划意识。Step 3: Dialogue learning Activity 4 Watch a video Read and choose Read and draw the key words of the options, then deduce the answers according to the logical relationship, and complete the dialogue sentence by mon methods include: regular response, synonym substitution(同义词替换), keyword repetition and so on.. Listen and underline Listen the dialogue about career plan and underline plan function sentences. Then check the answers. Language points Teach the important points of the recording such as make a three-year plan, a clear career goal, Do you have a plan for your career I will put what I have learned at school into practice.What do you see yourself in three years …… Listen and find out the answers of the questions. Understand the important points and take notes. 通过补全对话让学生对文本有进一步的了解。学习文本的重点词句,夯实长难句,为后面的口语输出做铺垫。Step 4: Speaking Activity 5: Act and practice Teachers create dialogue situations through pictures, and briefly introduce the dialogue background. One is talking about career plan, and the other is career development. Students choose the situation and do group oral practice and demonstration. Students in small groups further read contextual information, familiarize themselves with the language situation, and prepare for dialogue and communication. Know how to talk about teamwork and national model worker. 本环节主要是口语练习活动,主题为分享和咨询职业规划,这些话题与学生的职业生涯息息相关,学生有未来的需求。通过模仿、总结听力和口语的文本,学生进行话题的综合性输出练习,培养学生知识的迁移能力。根据情景进行对话编排和演练,增加学生职场语言的储备,培养积极的职业规划意识和奋斗精神。通过学习职业规划内容并口头分享自己设计的职业规划,学生明确设定职业目标及明确如何实现目标的重要意义,为未来的职业实践提供了指导性的意义。Step 5: Summary I have mastered the following words and expressions: quit one’s job be good at have some experience in make up my mind plan to do short/long-term goal do great in one’s position get a good salary try my best I have mastered the following sentence structures: I want to work at a bigger company with more opportunities.
