教材分析 本课教学内容选择《英语 拓展模块》第八单元“Making a Career Plan”的文化理解（Culture Understanding）和语言实践板块（Language Practice）。文化理解部分是一篇关于工作和生活的语篇，理解作者提出的三方面建议，认识到工作与生活之间实现平衡的重要意义。语言实践板块内容以状语从句为主题，有语法练习和词汇练习两个部分。该板块教学内容要求在职业规划的语境中，学生能准确理解并运用词汇，巧妙运用状语从句丰富表达。
学情分析 本板块教学内容是听说、读写部分的延续和复习，在对工作和生活的语篇理解的基础上，通过状语从句的复习和学习进一步深化职业规划的话题认知。鉴于学生本身词汇有限，时态观念混淆，逻辑思维能力较为欠缺，因而语法部分的学习面临诸多困难，所以教师在课堂上应围绕职业规划的话题，多设置语境、注重对学生语用意识和情感意识的培养，兼顾各个层次的学生，使每个学生都学有所获。

Step 2: Culture Understanding Read and answer Q1:What is the passage about Q2:Which do you think is more important, being with your family or doing your work Q3:What are the benefits of doing sports Q4:What makes it difficult for you to say no when someone asks you to do something Read and choose Ask students to read the questions to underline the key words and choose the answers. Students scan the text to get the main idea of the text, and find out the answers. Students read carefully the passage and do the exercises. 本部分关于工作和生活的语篇，作者提出三方面的建议，引导学生认识到工作与生活之间实现平衡的重要意义。本单元的拓展内容，主要目的是丰富学生对职业发展与规划这一主题的理解，为学有余力的学生提供想学习资源。

Students read the discourse and make a choice. 本部分以状语从句为主要话题，通过主从句搭配连线、选择连接词补全短文的方式，围绕职业规划话题，让学生在学习状语从句的基础上再次巩固了单元话题。通过再次深入了解职业规划的重要性和如何进行职业规划，为学生树立了良好的职业规划意识。 本部分以词汇复习为主要话题，通过四选一和单词补全对话的方式，围绕职业咨询话题展开，让学生在运用单词的基础上，再次复习巩固了职业咨询话题，也再次了解了职业服务用语。
