教材分析 本课教学内容选自《英语 拓展模块》第三单元“Doing Our Part for the Environment”阅读与写作板块（Reading and Writing）。阅读部分以垃圾分类为主题，训练学生快速阅读及获取语篇主旨大意与细节信息的能力，也为学生更好地理解垃圾分类的相关知识及其重要意义提供了内容载体。写作部分以环保活动为主题，训练学生分析篇章结构、通过阅读提取信息以及完成电子邮件写作的能力，旨在让学生通过阅读了解结构，通过阅读填写信息，根据信息完成写作练习，达到同步提升学生阅读与写作能力的效果，并认识到保护环境是每个人应尽的责任。
学情分析 垃圾分类是与学生日常生活紧密相关的话题。学生在基础模块中学习过垃圾分类的话题，在了解有关垃圾分类、环保措施的信息时，对于信息要素可进行迁移应用，如garbage sorting、recycle等词汇以及“After being recycled, the waste can be made into other materials.”和“We can help reduce waste and protect the environment.”等句型。但学生对于深入介绍垃圾分类实施情况的语篇还无法完全理解，也缺少描述参与环保活动的经历的写作练习，因而教师在课堂上通过泛读精读、模拟写作的方式，由易及难，不断增强学生阅读与写作的自信心，提高表达能力。先进行理解模仿，再到替换练习，熟悉语言使用场景，最后能够读懂介绍垃圾分类的语篇，完成介绍参与环保活动经历的电子邮件。

Step 1: Lead-in Watch and think Watch a video and think why students do an internship. Show students some reasons about doing an internship. Watch a video and think the importance of doing an internship. 通过询问学生实习的原因，让学生理解实习的重要性并增强学习技能的信念。
Step 2: Pre-reading Think and discuss: What things belong to garbage in our daily life How do we deal with garbage Students think and discuss the question，“ How do students find a suitable internship ”. 通过思考和讨论，让学生了解在选择实习单位时需要考虑的要素。
Step 3: While-reading Read and match Let students underline the key words of the titles, then skim the four texts and match their suitable title. Read and choose Ask them to read the report and choose the answers. Read and complete Ask students to read the report again and complete the summary of the content. Language points Analyze the important words and phrases of the text like carry out, household garbage, the amount of, kitchen waste,recyclable waste... Read the text for several times and finish the reading exercises to match their titles, finish filling in the blanks about dealing with household waste summary, understand the important language points and take notes 本部分旨在提升学生运用关键词获取语篇主题的快速阅读技巧，量身定做了匹配的标题，激活原有语言知识，提升学习兴趣，为后续阅读活动做铺垫。
Step 4: Post-reading (Writing) Read and match Let students skim the letter and match the name with each part of the letter. Read and complete Ask students to read the letter again and complete the mail memo form. Read and write. Read Zhang Hua’s meaningful tree-planting activity to Jessie, complete her mail. Read the diary carefully finish filling in the blanks about Li Hua’s volunteer work form, and read Wang Wei’s internship record then complete his diary 本部分通过为语篇匹配标题，对描述实习经历的内容做判断，提取与主人公实习经历信息并进行转述，更好地帮助学生仿照内容概要，结合自己的实习实践经历进行分享，培养学生的职场交流能力。同时读懂日记内容，总结日记类语篇基本结构，完成活动记录表填写，不仅夯实学生的语言基础知识，也可更好的为单元任务做知识储备。
