Step 2 Reading
1). Skim reading.
Task1
Ask the students to read the title and first sentences of each paragraph and try to find the answer to the following questions:

Task 2 Ask the students to look quickly through the passage to find the main idea without reading every word. Then match the key words with each paragraph

课后反思
本节课引导学生运用了多重阅读策略。在读前阶段通过预测，激发学生的学习欲望，形成阅读期待；在读中阶段略读确定文本大意，通过细读了解文本细节，通过猜测词义突破语言障碍；在读后阶段复述课文巩固对文本的把握，深化对文本内涵的理解。阅读策略的运用加深了学生对文本内容的理解，培养了良好的阅读习惯，促进了学生阅读能力的提高。我认为本节课比较成功的地方是:巧设问题循序渐进，逐段分析，层层递进。能使学生积极参与到各教学环节中去。但是不足之处，缺少拓展性，感觉学生发挥似乎总限制在课文内容，从而显得课堂内容不够充实。以后得拓展学生思维，让学生发散思维。
