Section B (2a-2c)
本单元话题是“学校科目”(School subjects)。本节课是本单元的第四节课,是一节阅读课。2a-2c通过过程性的阅读训练帮助学生进一步巩固所学语言知识。2a复现了学科及描述学科的形容词。2b-2c训练了学生捕捉细节信息的能力。2b要求学生找出Yu Mei喜欢和不喜欢的学科。2c要求学生就信中Yu Mei的日程安排填写表格。阅读语篇将本单元所学内容有机结合起来,以信件形式叙述了一个学生一天中的学习和生活安排。该语篇不仅能让学生感知语言的综合运用,还能为后面3a-3c的语言输出积累相关信息,打好语言基础。
学完这一课,学生能够掌握:

Step 1: New words
教师要求学生课前预习新词,可抽出适当时间进行检测,确保学生掌握本节生词,为新课学习做准备。
Step 2: Pre-reading
【教师活动】
1.先让学生独立填写2a中对每个学科的观点。
2.然后让学生两人一组交流对不同学科的观点,学生可使用句型 Do you like... Why
【学生活动】用描述性形容词填写对每个学科的观点,然后与伙伴两人一组进行交流。
【教师活动】提问几个学生对某些学科的看法,并在黑板上板书出之前学过的句式,让学生任选一种句式说说他们对下列学科的想法,并用 why 追问原因。这个活动要求学生实事求是地说出自己对某个学科的看法,这样既为回答2b中的问题“Are Yu Mei’s ideas the same as yours ”做了铺垫,又为教师了解学生、引导学生正确看待不同学科提供了一个契机。
【学生活动】回答教师的问题,并仔细回答其原因。
Step 3: While-reading
【教师活动】
1.引导学生快速阅读2b全文,然后回答 PPT 中呈现的关于文章大意的问题。
T: Please read the letter quickly and find the main idea.
Suggested answer: It’s about a girl’s school life.
2.如果学生用自己的话说出答案有难度,教师可以在黑板上写出下面的句子:It’s
about ________________________.让学生用关键词填空完成句子,掌握文章的主要内容。如果学生归纳文章大意有难度,教师可以提问以下细节问题,最后再引导学生归纳大意。如:
(1)Who writes the letter
(2)Who gets the letter
(3)Which day is she writing
Is she writing about her school life or the life at home
【学生活动】按照教师指令,快速浏览全文,并把握文章体裁和大意,然后尝试着用自己的话归纳出文章的主旨大意。
【教师活动】让学生读第二遍文章,并思考信中提到了学校生活的哪些具体内容。比如教师可提问学生以下问题,并呈现在 PPT 上。如:
(1)What does Yu Mei do at 8:00
(2)What does Yu Mei do at 9:00
(3)What does she think of science
(4)What’s her favorite subject
(5)Who is her Chinese teacher
(6)How does she feel about the art lesson
(7)How long does she have an art lesson after class
【学生活动】在对短文进行仔细阅读前,学生首先阅读2b的题目要求和7个需要做出
回答的句子,明确阅读目的。然后带着目的,进行第二遍阅读,并完成2b的练习。
Step 4: Post-reading
【教师活动】让学生跟读短文录音,以培养语感和正确的语音、语调。
【学生活动】按照教师的指令,完成相应的练习,并积极回答问题。
【教师活动】教师给出挖空的2b短文,要求学生根据记忆脱离教材完成。此短文填空目的在于引导学生对描述性形容词的关注。教师稍后核对答案。
【学生活动】完成短文填空并给出自己的答案。
【教师活动】让学生思考 Yu Mei 除了谈到喜欢的学科,还谈到哪些学校生活,这些活动是怎么安排的。让学生读第三遍文章,并完成2c。
Step 5: Language points in Section B (2a-2c)
【教师活动】让学生分组进行探究,由学生列出他们认为本节课的重点知识。教师最后进行整体讲解。
【学生活动】列出他们认为本节课的重点知识,小组讨论,总结归纳,完成学习任务单中的课堂学习任务。在教师讲解后,学生根据自己的实际掌握情况进行查漏补缺。
