教材分析 本课为第十模块的第二单元，是语言扩展和语言练习单元。主要情境为Lingling and Amy畅谈即将到来的初中生活以及要学习的中学课程，并通过她们对话中透露出中西方一些文化差异，学科差异。
单元教学目标 知识目标： 学习单词physics, chemistry学习目标语句：What are you going to study I’m going to study History. 能力目标： 能听说认读和运用目标词汇⒉能运用所学知识针对目标话题进行初步的英语交流。 情感目标： 通过学习本课的知识，让学生认识到一些中西方学校课程设置的差异，并学会合理安排好各科的学习时间。

1.这一课中由于有关学科的名词比较多而且比较难，学生在识读方面还有一定困难；2.在词汇和课文方面花的时间较多，难点单词突破费时，所以在后面的说一说和写写的环节处理的比较仓促，还有一部分学生没有写完，可以留在homework.
