教学过程
教学过程的设计基于最近发展区理论,运用支架式教学策略,在精心设计的各活动环节中学生能够获得充分的协助,以顺利完成活动任务;他们将在这一过程中与老师和同伴进行充分互动,并在互动中建构对本课目标语言的认知。通过教师讲授、师生谈论和小组讨论相关话题、目标语言的练习,设计从语言输入到输出的教学环节,使学生实现本课的学习目标。

The meaning of the unit title “New Technologies in Everyday life” Explain the meaning of the title. Lead a whole class discussion by asking Do you know the new technologies in daily life How do the new technologies change our life Wrap up the discussion: new technologies have greatly changed our life and they are very important to our society. Take notes. Share their answers with the class. Possible answers: Smart phone, smart watch, smart robot, drone, sweeping robot, mobile payment , high-speed railway, 3D printer, self-service printer, Al, VR, driverless car etc Smart phone changes our life in three ways: Entertainment: Payment; Communication Sweeping robot can sweep and clean the floor instead of person. We can go shopping at the supermarket or online without cash and pay our bills(水电费) ....... 设计意图: 帮助学生了解本单元主题---科技与生活; 使学生认识到技术创新对人类社会发展具有重要意义。

Unit 5 Activity 1 Give instructions “We are going to listen to four dialogues about new technologies. Listen and match the dialogues with their application scenarios.” Play the audio twice. Check answers (whole class). Show the four scripts one by one, and for each one, ask students to read and guess the meaning of the underlined words and expressions according to the context, and exchange their understanding within groups. Teach/Review the underlined words and expressions:scan ,scan the QR code, install a bike-sharing app, delete; big data. Listen and match. Share their answers. Read and guess what the underlined words and expressions mean, and share their guess with their group members. Take notes and ask for further elaboration if they have any confusions. 设计意图: 练习听力,获取对话主题; 激活学生在技术与生活主题下的语言知识储备与生活常识; 锻炼学生根据上下文语境猜测词义,以及对一词多义的单词的准确理解。 学习新词汇,复习整合已学词汇及相关搭配/短语。 教学资源:课本,Activity 1 音频,PPT(词汇复习及拓展内容)

Unit 5 Activity 2 From the script, the teacher selects five excerpts from which answers to the five multiple-choice questions can be found, and put the excerpts on screen and deal with them with students one by one. For each excerpt, Show the excerpt and the question (without choices), and ask students to read and answer the question. Explain key words / new words. Give instructions: Listen to the full conversation between a man and a woman, and choose the correct answer for each question. Play the audio. Let students check answers in groups. Check answers (whole class). Teach key words and expressions in script: Smart Office System, functions ,send reports and memos to colleagues, log in with your fingerprint, click; Can you show me how to..., Let me show you ... Ask “What do you think of the Smart Office System ”, and ask students to share their answers in pairs, then in groups, and with the whole class at last. Read each script excerpt and answer questions. Listen and choose. Share answers with their group members. Take notes. Explain key words and expressions in details: package tour, specific, recommend, virtual reality system, in person, sign up; What can I expect , You can... Read and predicate. Listen and complete. Share answers with their partner. Listen to audio excerpts and check answers. Unit 5 Activity 4 Give instructions “Read and choose correct sentences from the box to complete the dialogue between a woman and a man. If there are any words and phrases you don’t know, underline them.” Play the audio, and let students to check answers. Ask students to check answers in pairs. Explain and teach words that students unlined. Play the audio one sentence by one sentence, and ask students to read following the audio. Let students practice reading the conversation in pairs. Ask 2~3 pairs to the conversation in roles in front of the class. Lead a discussion on “ What do you think of the unmanned supermarket ” Read and complete, and underline. Listen and check. Share answers with their partners. Take notes. Listen and read chorally. Practice the conversation with their partners. Read the conversation with partners in front of the class. Unit 5 Activity 5 Explain the 2 Situations . Brainstorm with the class: 1) possible questions based on the given information, 2)answers to these questions, and write down them on white board. Let students work in pairs to create a dialogue, using questions and answers on white board. Move around in the classroom to observe students, and give assistance and support to those pairs who are in need. Ask students to act in front of the class. Brainstorm and share their answers actively. Work in pairs to prepare a dialogue. Demonstrate the dialogue they create. 设计意图: 解释课本呈现的情境描述,确保学生理解准确; 头脑风暴活动帮助学生准备对话交流内容,面对写在白板上的提问和回答,学生在准备对话练习时将会更加自信、更愿意尝试用英文进行表达; 教师巡视课堂,能够及时发现做对话仍然有困难的学生,并给予帮助,也能够了解学生对话中存在的错误,及时给予纠正,以确保学生语言练习的准确性。 教学资源:课本,白板
