主语一般指人。注意与run out的区别 。

"run out of”和"run out”都有“用完”的意思，但二者的用法不同。
（1）二者的词性不同：
"run out of”是及物短语； "run out”作不及物短语。
eg. She has ran out of money. 她的钱用完了。
His strength ran out. 他的力气用完了。
（2）二者主动语态上的区别：
"run out of”表示主动语态时，主语只能是人；
"run out”表示主动语态时，其主语通常是时间、金钱、食物等无生命名词。
eg. We run out of water,and had to buy.
我们的水用完了，所以不得不去买。
eg. If our money runs out, we can sell some of the products.
如果我们的钱用完了，可以卖点一点产品。
2. I repaired it. 我修理它。I fixed it up. 我修理它
repair mend fix 这三个词都含有“修理、修补”的意思,有时可以通用,但也有些区别.
1) repair的对象范围很广,从房屋、道路、机器到日常生活必需品,是使受到一定损失或失灵的东西恢复其形状或功能.
eg. Who has repaired the broken leg of the table 谁把桌子的断腿修好了
2) mend的意思是恢复某物原来的样子(包括用针、线来缝补),一般指较小之物.
eg. This shirt is too old to mend. 这件衣服太旧不能补了.
3) fix用于需要重新“调”物体的结构,把松散的部件固定结实,将分离的物体各部分装配起来.用于美国口语中,与repair无多大区别.
eg. Can you fix the broken chair 你能修理那把坏了的椅子吗

look like ;take after ; be similar to 的区别。
（1）look like 意为看起来像……, 尤指外貌相像。其应用范围最广；除了描述人、物之外，也能抽象表达事件或现象，
eg. He looks like a famous movie star.他看起来像一个著名的影星。
（2）take after 表示（性格或行为）像，指由于血缘关系而在外貌、性格等方面相似。除了人之外，也有时会用在其他动物（多半是宠物）上。尤其是像自己的长辈,可解释为be similar to.如：Mary really takes after her mother.
（3）be similar to 用法一般都是在相近似的物品和情境的对比上.

Cassie Warren and Jesse Jones were busy getting ready for their wedding (婚礼).
