Step 1：Lead-in GreetingShow a video and ask the question. Ask students to answer the questions: Do you often feel stressed out What activities do you like to do to help lower your stress Answer the questions and pay attention to the class. 用视频的形式自然地引出本课的中心话题同时让学生解释自己的压力和解压活动。锻炼的是学生谈论问题的能力。
Step 2:Presentation Lead students to read the activities listed in 1a.Show the result of the survey which was finished by students before the class. Let students talk about their findings.Let students work in pairs, and talk about their favorite activities to help lower stress.A: What's your favorite activity to lower your stress B: I like ... best because... Read the activities loudly togetherLook at the table and talk about the findingsWork in pairs and talk about their favorite activities to help lower stress. 朗读减压的活动，既是课堂的新知讲授，也能为学生们提供一些方法去降压。改变课本内容呈现方式，更加高效地呈现排序结果，且让学生们有所思考方法的合理性。
Step 3:Listening and speaking Let students listen to the tape and check ( ) the problems Wei Ming talks about. Before listening, lead students to find out and listen to the key words.Play the tape again. Let students find out what advice Alice gives to Wei Ming and fill in the blanks. And ask students to use the following sentence patterns to answer the questions. 1) Although you may be_________ with your parents, you should talk to them. Ask them why they give you so much________.Life shouldn’t just be about ________. Free time activities like_______ and hanging out with friends are important, too.You shouldn’t_________ with your classmates to get better grades. You should all be ________each other to improve.Play the tape and ask students to repeat and imitate the conversation.Ask students to work in pairs and make conversations to help Wei Ming to solve his problems. What's your opinion B: Maybe he could ..., because ... 第一个听力活动主要锻炼学生对关键信息的识别和听辨的能力。第二遍听力锻炼学生依据已知知识和文化背景对听力信息做出预测的能力。“模音”环节主要锻炼学生的听力速记能力和语言情感表达能力。第四个活动是锻炼学生说的能力，从自身的角度为魏明提一些意见，既要学生会提出建议，也要考虑到建议的合理性和得体性。
Step 4:Production Lead students to do a group work.Situation:If you are Mike, Amy, Tom and Mary, how will you give your advice And you can also add more problems when necessary.Try to create your own conversations. Checklist:Give at least two pieces of advice.Use at least two kinds of sentences to give advice.Speak English loudly and fluently (流畅地). Group work :Check others’ performance according to the Checklist. 最后产出环节设计的小组活动，旨在让学生们合作完成提出问题，给出建议的任务，主要锻炼学生的合作能力，组织能力和语言表达能力。同时设置同伴评价表，生生互评，激励学生提升自己的英语能力。
Step 5:Homework Practice the conversation in 1d.Share your problems with your partner and ask for some advice. 作业的目的都是为了帮助学生巩固操练今日所学内容。
