教学重难点 教学重点:Use proper stress and polite intonation to make requests or ask for permission.Use “Could I ... ” and “Could you please ... ” properly in the discussion of making preparation for a party.Decline requests in a proper way by asking for reasons and giving solutions.重点突出:听录音并跟读模仿,并在后续的活动中不断运用。通过层层递进的听力活动,不断强化学生对于两种句式的理解,并使之在最后的输出活动中灵活运用。回到文本中再次阅读,在教师的追问中形成对礼貌拒绝的方式的基本概念。学习难点:1. Ss may have difficulty in taking notes quickly while listening.2. Ss may have difficulty in turning down requests in a proper way by asking for reasons and giving solutions in their own conversation.难点突破:引导学生讨论并运用听力中的速记技巧。利用文本帮助学生感知,并提供真实情景促进学生灵活运用。

Step 1Lead-in A survey. Ask Ss to think of 3 things that their parents always ask them to do and share. Step 3While-listening Ask Ss to listen to the first two sentences and answer questions.Ask Ss to go on listen and check the things they hear (1c).Ask Ss to try to fill in the chart according to the listening just now.Ask Ss to listen again and fill the chart.Ask Ss to check their answers with each other by using “... is/are going to ...”Focus on the stress and intonation and play the recording again.Ask Ss to read the text and ask questions. Step 4Post-listening Ask Ss to think “If you are Sandy, how should you ask for help politely ” Ss share in pairs and answer questions. 针对对话结尾的内容延伸拓展,并将本节课所学内容初步运用(教学目标2、3)
Step 5Production Make a plan for a party: An exchange student Amy from Singapore will come and live in your house next Sunday.You want to have a welcome party for her. Work in pairs and finish the plan.Ask Ss to work in pairs and role-play the conversations.Invite some pairs to show their discussion. Give comments if necessary. Work in pairs and complete the plan.One of the student is mom or dad. Role-play the conversation.Talk with each other to polish the plan. Other students listen and take ment on the performance after the performance. 学生合作完成计划,且考虑时间、地点。使得情境更具有真实性和可操作性。学生两两合作,在讨论交流中完善计划,并提醒学生关注checklist。(教学目标2、3、4)部分学生全班展示,引导学生生生互评。既确保学生仔细聆听,也有助于学生在评价中消化理解本节课所学内容。(教学目标2、3、4)
