教学目标 本单元的话题是chores, 主要是关于家庭生活,谈论家务琐事及家庭互助,要求学生学会用Could you please… 和Could I please… 来委婉地提出请求或者征求别人的许可以及如何礼貌地拒绝别人并表达自己的理由,陈述自己的好恶。通过前面三个课时的学习,学生已经知道了Could you是提出请求,Could I是征求许可,但是对于对话中的过渡词掌握还不够,也不会用肢体语言。因而这一课时的任务是复习前面词组、句型,学习如何用合适的过渡词和肢体语言。具体目标如下:知识目标: After class, students will be able to know how to use the following phrases: buy some drinks and snacks, borrow some money, clean your room, invite my friends to a party, go to the store, use your CD player, take out the rubbish, make your bed. 能力目标: 1. After class, students will be able to use the two sentence patterns to express requests and ask for permissions.2. After class, students will be able to use proper words to express requests and ask for permissions.3. After class, students will be able to know how to make notes while listening.情感目标:培养学生在日常生活和社交中委婉和礼貌地请求他人做某事的情感,在家庭和学校生活中热爱劳动、乐于助人的情感。
教学重难点 How to make polite requests using Could you please… or ask for permissions using Could I … in different situations and how to use proper words and body language.

Step1 Warm-up Greet the students as usual and ask the students for help with the teacher’s daughter’s party. T: Good morning, boys and girls. I have a problem these days, could you help me My problem is that my daughter wants to have a party this Sunday. Students look at the pictures and help the teacher to make the list and then guess what the teacher and her daughter will say. 本课时的听力主题是Sandy与母亲之间因为举办派对而产生的对话,因而用派对为主线复习旧知,引入新知,为后面的步骤做好铺垫。
Step 2 Drills Show the pictures and ask “What problems do they have before their parties ”Ask students to practice the conversation in pairs, using the structures on the screen.T: Suppose you are one of them, you want to have a party this weekend, how will you talk with your parents And here’s what you need while speaking.Do remember change your roles.Ask some pairs to act out, the teacher gives comments of their acting.T: You did a wonderful job. You have learnt to use proper words and feeling, but I think you should also use more body languages. Look at the pictures and guess their problems.Students practice the conversation in pairs, student A is a parent, student B is a child,then change their roles.Some pairs act out and the rest of the class listen carefully. 通过课本练习巩固学生所学。对话练习中让学生尝试扮演父母和孩子的角色。孩子角色的扮演是本色出演,但是从扮演父母角色的过程中他们还可以体会到父母的立场与不易。教师在这个环节中评价学生的角色表演为后面学生根据checklist进行自我评价和对他人进行评价起到了示范作用,让学生对于如何使用checklist了然于胸。
Step 3 Listening Ask the students to finish activity 1cT: Look at the picture, do you think who they are Yes, they are Cindy and her mom. Now let’s listen and check the things they are going to do in 1a.Ask the students to finish activity 1dT: Just now Sandy and her mom will share the chores. Let’s listen and fill in the chart in 1d. Here I have a little tip for you—when you can’t write the whole phrase down, just write the key word or the first two letters, you can also write the letters in 1a. Do you know what I mean OK, good , let’s go.T: Have you got all the answers No! OK, let’s listen it again. So now I saw most of you had gotten the answers. Lucas, please share you answer with us, like this: Sandy’s mother is going to …Play the recording and ask the students to imitate.T: You really did a good job. Now, I’ll play the recording for you , please imitate after the recording, you should pay more attention to the transitional words and feelings. Students listen carefully and finish activity 1c. Then check the answers .Students listen and take notes, then check the answers like this: Sandy’s mom is going to …Students listen carefully and imitate after the recording. 从1b自身感受过渡到1c 听力,进一步机械操练听力技巧。1d的听力有一定难度,因而先分享了听力小技巧,降低听力难度,也是为学生的应试做准备。
Step 4 Groupwork Help the students to review the speaking skills learnt in this period.Ask the students to practice the conversation in groups, paying attention to the speaking skills.T: I think Sandy will have a wonderful party with her mom and David’s help. Our school trip is coming, so there’s a lot to do before the trip, you can discuss in group of four or three. Here’s the structure you can use in your conversation. Student read the speaking skills on the blackboard togetherStudents practice in pairs, then some pairs act out in front of the class, the rest of the students listen carefully and give marks according to the checklist. 经过前面大量的语言输入与语言技能教授,学生已经初步掌握了语音语调、身体语言的使用,最后在进行操练,有助于学生巩固所学,并学会对自己和他人的语言技巧进行评价。
Step 5 Homework T: Could you please share chores with your parents at home Could you please communicate better with each other Of course, you can! You can start it today!Here’s your homework:Write down what you often help your parents do at home. Interview your parents and ask them if kids should help out with chores at home or not. 用Could you 句型对学生寄予期望,在情感上得以升华。作业是写下在家中经常帮助父母做的家务既是对这一节课内容的总结与回顾,同时也是为下一节课做准备。采访父母亲对于孩子是否该在家中做家务,能让孩子们更好地感受父母的辛苦。
