过去进行时
知识提炼
一、概念
1. 表示过去某个时间点正在持续的动作或状态
e.g. I was taking a shower at this time yesterday.
2. 表示过去某个时间段正在持续的动作或状态
e.g. They were learning English from seven to nine yesterday.
二、结构: 主语+was/were +V-ing（动词的现在分词）+其他
e.g. Linda was doing her homework at this time yesterday.
三、 V-ing 变化规律
口诀 情况 构成规则 举例
直 一般 直接加-ing play → playing
去 以不发音字母e结尾 去e加-ing have → having
双 重读闭音节结尾 双写词尾辅音字母再加-ing run → running
改 以ie结尾 改ie为-ying lie → lying die→ dying tie→ tying
四、时间标志词
1. 过去具体时间点：
at+具体时刻+过去时间（at five last Saturday）
at this time+过去时间（at this time yesterday）
at that time/moment 在那个时刻
then 在那时
2. 过去时间段
from...to...yesterday （from nine to ten last evening）
all the time yesterday
3. when与while引导的时间状语从句
过去进行时态常与when, while等连词搭配。
when+延续性动词/短暂性动词
while+延续性动词
（1）当主从句都是延续性动词（动作同时进行）的时候，只用while
My mother was cooking while I was doing some cleaning.
（2）当是从句动词短暂性动词的时候，只能when引导
I was reading books when my mother got home.
时态注意：主过从过
常见短暂性动词：wake up、get up、come、go、get、knock、ring、begin、start、see…
五、句型转换
肯定句：I was taking a shower at this time yesterday.
（主语+was/were+V-ing.......）
否定句：I was not （=wasn't）taking a shower at this time yesterday.
（主语+wasn’t/weren’t+V-ing.......）
一般疑问句： Were you taking a shower at this time yesterday
（Was/ Were +主语+V-ing........ 注意第一人称改第二人称）
特殊疑问句(针对划线部分进行提问): What were you doing at this time yesterday
（特殊疑问词/词组+一般疑问句）
