教 学 目 标 Knowledge objectives: Ss are able to understand the details of the main reading chapter in depth . Ss are able to learn the meanings and usages of new words, phrases and sentence patterns, such as provide，in many ways, keep, take in, harmful, major, fighter, against, make, furniture, be made of, cut down, millions of, stop doing sth, without, if-conditional sentences. Ss are able to use these new words in real context. Ability objective: Ss are able to make reasonable inference based on the information in the text. Emotional objective: Students can understand the great contribution that trees have made to mankind and establish the awareness of protecting trees.
