The guide should

so they might be worried about the accommodation; the guide should give a simple introduction of the hotel to help them calm down.
the tourists may have a lot of questions to ask, the guide must introduce the driver and himself to the tourists first.
If the tourists are interested in the outside scenery, the guide must have the ability to give an immediate introduction to everything. If the tourists are just from abroad, the guide should remind them to adjust the time.
