A few close friends walking through the city streets has become popular among young people in
China. It is called Citywalk. People would like to have a journey to walk around the city and explore(探

Citywalk first appeared in London, England to make tourists travel like locals. A group of people

If someone said they’d pay you $1,800 to stay off social media(社交媒体) for 6 years, would

Sivert Klefsaas is the youngest of Lorna Gold-strand Klefsaas’ four children, and his three older
sisters all used social media growing up. It was influencing their feelings, as well as their friendships.
So, Lorna thought, “If I could, I’d be willing to do whatever to keep Sivert off social media as long as
I could, whatever that looks like.” And that’s where the idea for this challenge came from.
It all started when Lorna heard about a similar “16 for 16 challenge” on the radio, where a

mother called Amanda Green gave her daughter Teresa $1,600 when she turned 16 if she stayed off
social media. So, Lorna decided to create her own “18 for 18 challenge”. Not only did Sivert finally
complete this challenge, but he would do it again, too.
“It wasn’t too difficult to live without social media, and I didn’t think about it much during the 6
years,” Sivert said. “As time went on, it was more of a pride thing.”
He had his friends keep him up to date on the latest information. Sivert added, “I got to avoid all
the unnecessary things that were on there. It also meant I had more time to focus on my grades and
sports instead.”
Now that he’s done with the challenge, Sivert joined Instagram(照片墙), but has no plans to let

IQ (intelligence quotient) is a score that shows a person’s
level of intelligence (智力). People used to believe that some
people are born with a high IQ and some aren’t. However, a
study by scientists at University College London has challenged
this idea. According to an article, scientists are beginning to
think that our IQ is a changing score.
The scientists tested 33 healthy young people in 2004
between the ages of 12 and 16. Then they did the tests again four
years later, when the same people were between 16 and 20.
Scientists found big changes in the IQ scores between 2008 and 2004. Some rose and some fell by
as many as 21 points.
To test whether these scores were meaningful, the scientists compared them with results from
brain scans. They found that the IQ changes matched changes in the structure of the subjects’ brains.
“A change in 20 points is a huge difference,” said Professor Cathy Price, who led the research. He
said it could mean the difference between a common person and a talented person.
▲ However, they say it is possible that education plays a role in changing IQ.
“Here we have shown that children’s intelligence is probably still developing,” says Price. “We
have to be careful to help poorer performers at an early age. In fact, their IQ may improve in a few
more years.”

该档次的要求来衡量，微调得分。
3.总词数不足 40个或者超过 120个的，可在本题总得分中扣去 2分。
4.书写较差或者卷面很不清洁以致影响达意的，可在本题总得分中扣 1-2分。
【整体评分标准】
第五档（很好）: (20分- 18分）完全完成试题规定的任务。
信息全；语言可读性强；语言结构基本正确；有少量错误。
第四档（好）: (17分- 14分）完全完成试题规定的任务。
有主要信息；语言基本正确；有一些错误。
第三档（还好）: (13分- 10分）基本完成试题规定的任务
有主要信息；语言尚可读；有一些错误；但尚能达意。
第二档（较差）: (9分- 6分）未能恰当完成试题规定的任务。
信息不全；只有个别句子可读；语言错误较多；且不能达意。
第一档（差）: (5分- 1分）未能完成试题规定的任务。
不能表达有关信息；只有几个相关单词；语言错误很多，不能达意。
注意：凡不写任何内容、抄袭其它内容、所写内容无法看清者一律给 0 分。
